Great “training night” workout for us last night and superb to hear Danny and Cameron back in action hopefully they will both be able to help us in our promotion run in now ! apparently 132 turned up to see our reserves training UTA
The attendance is also an indication that a number of 1874 fans weren’t interested either. More important things ahead of us and the right decision regarding team selection was made even though the starting line-up was probably a bit stronger than I expected.
FAO of Alan Wa*ker
Man goes to doctors and tells him every time he masterbates he shouts out " Come on 1874 Northwich "
Doctor replies. " Most wa*kers do !
Is this the best you can do? Have a go at the attendance? Poor that.
Maybe the thought of playing you lot just didn’t fill anyone with excitement. Especially since you put out such a weak team!!
Thought it was a good game though that we dominated. It’s like your lot were intimidated by the size of the occasion. Makes me wonder how the depth of your squad will assist in getting you over the line.
Be nice to have another trophy in the cabinet though. Even if it’s only a tinpot one!!!
Just like your lot against Runcorn. Colls and Padiham :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
some people are just thick. Blackie say we had a strong side out 7 first team player Omotola 35 apps ( started 6 games)noon 30 (start 7 games)Hickman 24 ( started 2 games) Hinchcliffe 7 ( started 2) Sloane and Adigun non … they have being subs granted but not starters .you played well but had most of your first team playing . we had non of our starting 11 on the pitch. josh89 said it was a good job as they would of lost .he doesn.t no nothing about football then as if he did he would not make statements like that. starting 11 would of won no problem as from what I saw the NWCL is poor.( and you cant get in the top 3 in that league) 3 or 4 years again linnets / Glossap /Norton had really strong team it doesn’t look as strong now .we had 5 lads for who this was there first game.you beat us but if you want are real test play as pre season game and see who wins ( last week you were all crying about the manager and the fact you cant keep players ) UTA
First time I’d been to Barton Stadium since the early 80s . It was what it was . A training session for development and youth squad with a couple of first team squad thrown in the mix .
One or two looked out of their depth at the moment but I’m sure they will appreciate the experience and learn from it A good centre half and . I saw good effort from all that played so we can’t knock anyone for putting the shirt on tonight . 1874 had a couple of lively players and seemed up for it , while it was evident our inexperienced players were slow to close them down . But we had our moments and really should have made it 2-2 at the beginning of the second half . It’s good to have the luxury to field a squad for these games as we do have bigger fish to fry.
The best news by a distance is that Cameron Dalton is back to playing. Slowly does it I am sure, but never the less I can’t wait to see the guy pull on shirt for league action.
With regard to the names on the team sheet, it doesn’t matter really. We set out our stall (rightly in our view) to play the team we did and we lost and that’s what the record books will show. That was always going to be the likely outcome. Let them have their 5 mins in the sunshine and we move onto Saturday which for us is much more important. The plastics know they won a meaningless match so let them get on with it.
