They’ve just appointed Ashton Utd’s management duo and are currently harvesting their playing staff too.
Never underestimate the underdog. Just because they’re bottom is irrelevant. The lads have to go out there with no preconceptions. That’s the magic of the FA cup
Have a wedding that Saturday, decisions decisions

It will probably be a completely different team by the time we play them Mookie, new manager, new players etc etc. But we could have drawn anyone and I would still fancy us to have a shout with the way we’re playing and the team spirit. Home advantage too its a great draw. UTA
Only one place above Buxton
Another test for us, but if we play as we did against Buxton i can’t see us doing anything other than winning. Go for it boys, you can do it. UTA
Great draw, winnable and should be a good crowd. Fully deserved.
We got a home draw which is all you can ask for ! But it will be a tough game they are irrespective of position in the national north league, a win would be just great UTA
As long as we approach the game without any complacency I’m sure we will be ok and I don’t think our management team have the word complacency in their dictionary. This team of ours has such a strong will to win I’m sure Stalybridge must be a little worried even with a new management team that I rate myself. Its absolutely fantastic at the moment lets hope it continues for a long time and hopefully put our wonderful club back where it belongs in the higher part of non league soccer as a team to fear playing against and respected in the non league world. Keep it going Carl and Co absolutley brilliant stuff. Thanks for posting from your sun bed Colin your a top banana too!! UTA
Stalybridge Celtic have added two more Ashton United players to their ranks, making a total of four. Of the four signed, two are ineligible for the Emirates FA Challenge Cup having already played in the competition for Ashton.
The two clubs have now put an agreement in place that no more players will be leaving Hurst Cross for Bower Fold.
The draw for the Third Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Challenge Cup will be made at around 12noon today. As we are still in the hat, our potential opponents (should we overcome Stalybridge ) will be posted as soon as the news is known.
If young Tolani is fit we have a big chance tomorrow night, difficult without his pace but we know these lads will give it all they have got. ONWARD AND UPWARDS. :clap :clap :clap

Emirates FA Challenge Cup Third Qualifying Round:
FC Halifax Town vs WITTON ALBION or Stalybridge Celtic.
To be played on Saturday, 1st October.
Replay tomorrow night is now at Mossley
My earlier posting was because Stalybridge Twitter had it as confirmed as being there.
Beaten them before at their ground when they were in the Football League, big ask, but we can do it,; just got to deal with Stalybridge first!!
WHS.
thats a tough old draw not really a reward if we do beat Stalybridge !!!
The rewards for beating Stalybridge are a decent pay day and a chance of getting into the first round proper for the first time in ages. I reckon that’s quite an incentive!
The draw for the Second Qualifying Round of the Buildbase FA Trophy will be made around lunchtime today. News of our potential opponents (should we beat Colwyn Bay ) will be announced as soon as the details are known.
Colwyn Bay or Witton Albion v Kettering Town

 Presumably that’s Saturday 12th November 2016 and not Saturday 26th November 2016 (which is the following round).
