All the best

for the new season:)

thanks doc, i am sure we can get over this little blip. i bet your going to miss the likes of, frickley and dare i say it kendal, good luck to yourselves in your league, forgot what its called for the mo.

also good luck in the playoffs.

Frickley definately wont miss them ,bit disapointed weve got to go gateshead again awful place to watch football and as for kendal always a good bit of banter before the games so will miss that a bit but not to much:) Games at your place always ok as at least you were under cover behind both goals unlike some.Anyhow good luck next season be tough theres a few good teams there next season

cheers docs. Same to u. Yeah tough teams this year but this league is open to anyone thats the beauty of it. Theres something special about this club though, theyll pull through what was a terrible summer and hopefully, its 3rd time lucky!!! And we can then salute JV with the middle finger!

Cheers doc, I think the unibond prem will be a tough league next season. Last year I believe there were 3 good teams in us, you and Gateshead, this year the could be 6 or 7 challenging. With 9 or the 11 first team new players we have to be cautious in our optimism but we have a good set-up, a good coach and strong new signings. I fancy us to finish 20 points off the top in 5th place and sneak through the play-offs (it’s about time we had some luck)!!!

Hope the season goes well for you, ironically I think the bottom off of the BSN is weaker than the Unibond Prem and can’t see you boys having any trouble being at the right end of the league. Telford and Burscough both did well after going up, you should too. Sure it is going to cost more money but you have a good fan base and appear to be getting it right off the pitch.

Hopefully Peers and Warlow will do their bit, whilst sorry to see them go both should be capable at a higher level.

Cheers Doc’s, as Rabbit said its gonna be a tougher league next season but we’ve got the right man in charge and I’m sure were gonna give it a go. Anyway good luck and hope you have a good season.

i thought that was a nice gesture from the doc. with the financial backing of the fleetwood town chairman plus the crowd potential i believe that they could achieve what the shrimps have done.

i heard peersy scored on his debut 4 fleetwood too.

peers looking very good player though cant always tell till real action starts and warlow scored his first 2 for the club yesterday

Crikey…!! It’s about time you lot had a change of luck, eh? I’ve loitered around this forum for quite some time and from what I’ve read, your club should be proud of it’s support and no doubt they are. I hope you all enjoy the season ahead.

On the Fleetwood front. Mark Peers and Adam Warlow are doing well. Does Mark Peers ever stop smiling…!! I’ve seen them in 2 pre-season friendlies and they look as though they are going to do us proud. Warlow bagged a brace in his last game. Peers had a couple of weaving runs into the box and finished with shots on target.

Best of luck.

i am sure that peers and warlow will do very well for you. is there any chance of sending that big target man to witton - the guy who played regularly for you the season before last. i do not mean fat foster.

Phil Denney?

Quality player who creates havoc for defenders. Never afraid to get stuck in and always gives 100% I think we’re keeping hold of Dr Denney.

dear coddy you are spot on -he is the player who i would like to see at wincham park. with the players now at your club will he now be pushed down the pecking order. am icorrect to say that he is not a prolific scorer but what i like about his play is that he leads the line well.

Hi Raul.

Our manager(Tony Greenwood) rotates and tinkers with his squad as much as some Premiership managers. It might not go down too well with the Cod Army sometimes but his record speaks for itself. Phil Denney is a 100%er, a battering ram and very much a team player. As you say he’s not prolific but his endeavour creates a lot of opportunity out of nothing and often for the benefit of his fellow players. Tony obviously has a healthy respect for Phil, as do the Fleetwood support. He’s still with us after a lot of other players have moved on.

Regarding opportunity, we have Andy Bell, Andy Moran, Steve Foster and Adam Warlow who are all quality strikers along with Phil, so it will be interesting to see which players make the team sheet as the season unfolds. When you compare your starting eleven either end of the season, the changes are quite often remarkable.

If Phil moves on, he’ll be an asset to any club including Witton.

Coddy, you talk a great deal of sense however I do need to pick you up on one thing… the words Steve Foster and Quality Striker should not appear in the same sentence unless bridged by the words “is not a”!

Maybe he meant quality actor.

coddy-the reason that some wittoners are having a pop at fat foster is the fact that when he played for telford utd he was responsible for getting 7 opposing players sent off in one season including 2 of ours. when greenie wanted to talk to him about his behaviour on the pitch he jumped in to his car and sped off. i think he had a lot of encouragment to play act by telfords manager- smith another rat bag.
