.Waitting for confirmation but it appears we have finished 16th, Stamford have lost at home to Blyth. Grantham drew at Nantwich.
Marine have escaped by four points despite Frickley winning at Worksop.
Looks like Frickley may have done enough to get a reprieve
I know it’s a funny old game but Aston finish 5th and can muster only 150 for their last game of the season. And how many of that gate were Wittoners?
Well done for a fine win today, let’s hope we get the summer right and look good for August…
There was at least 50 Albion fans there today, very few visible Ashton fans, however one of their ballboy’s really does need to go to anger management classes. I am sure Matt the Cat may have recorded an incident.
Over to you Matt
I hope somebody did, it was hilarious.
What a laugh we’ve had today. A great end to a very trying season.

I would love to show the clip I have but the club have asked me not to put it on the internet.
Must agree tho he really needs anger management, the young Curzon Ashton fans Really wound him up in the 2nd half but we could of done without the Curzon fan running onto the pitch to celebrate our 3rd goal!
Nah they were just kids having a laugh and why not, that’s what it’s all about. Everyone knew they were curzon fans so it doesn’t reflect on witton at all.
Matt I’ve sent you a pm
Congratulations to Ashton United on their extra time Play-off Semi-Final victory @ FC United. I’m delighted that a proper football club, with no money & a great heart have won through tonight. Hope they go on and win the Final against AFC £ylde. Brilliant result. :clap :clap :clap
GE
And Ashton scored in the 90th & 120th minute to win!!!
I must get out more often.
UTA - Up The Ashton
Great to see a small club with no fans and a rubbish ground assist FCUM in their annual fight against promotion. We look forward to a bumper gate next season, on a Saturday, hopefully.
On another subject, I saw Warrington fail to progress last night. Chris Gahgan played for 60 mins. Wire were much the better team in the first half, but their front 2 didn’t take the chances. Bamber got a goal early in the 2nd and then had a penalty saved. Then Wire had a man sent off and it was a comfortable 1-0 to BB. 477 crowd, good atmosphere, but NO CHIPS!!
I really feel for those poor Fc fans.
Imagine going through the dissapointment every year.
We will make some money out of the game against FC United and if Darlington win promotion that will be another big gate; but it makes winning our league that much harder.

After this season lets take things one step at a time Alan
As I udnerstand it FC have a wage bill akin to ours due to the ground situation, which should get better for them next season. Perhaps they can’t pay the big bucks straight away (and is that even their philosophy?) but as the season progresses and the bar take rolls in, they’ll see the benefit of not paying rent and should be able to get the players they need when they need them. If darlington are in too we just need to focus on doing the best we can on our resources.
I guess this segues nicely into things that are coming up soon to help raise money through the summer. The beer festival starts on 15th May with a football quiz, with plenty of world cup trivia, another comedy night and a Northern Soul night. The main bar take will be important but the beer festival bar take is almost pure profit for the club so a great opportunity to give the club your money and get some delicious beer in return.
I believe there’s a music festival to follow so hopefully all us Wittoners can turn out and support these events now the football has stopped. :goal
WHS, we dont have to win the league to get promoted
Darlo 2 down to Ramsbottom at Half-time - Oh dear Jamie
Bottlers Chad to be honest.
Rammy playing usual game of kicking everyone off the park. Broke one of our lads legs
Moonie, I’m a Wittoners so I always will be a bit of a dreamer!!!
