Re arranged date for today’s abandoned game - 21st April 7.45pm.
Ref had no choice to abandon the game and im suprised he played as long as he did.
Ashton didnt look any better than us and for them to be 3rd shows how tight this league is, good show from Dean Porter back in goal he handled all thrown at him in difficult conditions.
Thankfully im now home showered and dry!
could’nt you have soaked the surface water up with the 3 hairs on your chest mooney
I’m glad the conditions didn’t decide the outcome of the match.
Even my rain dance didnt work

The game being abandoned was inevitable once that storm cloud burst and was absolutely the right decision.
However what we did get of the match was worth it just to see the absolutely fantastic effort put in across the team, the work rate, commitment and support for each other. We also tried to play some good football in atrocious conditions. We were after Ashton at every tick and turn - something I think they weren’t too keen on and weren’t expecting.
This team is still work in progress, but there is definite progress and a growing togetherness on and off the pitch. Get through the remainder of this season and there are real reasons to be optimistic
