Brilliant performance today against an abysmal Bamber Bridge side. Thier keeper kept the scoreline in single figures.
I was really happy with Hancock and Titch today, Josh is making very good progress.

Hancock was superb today. 1st half was the best performance i have seen from him yet.
Great finish from Stott too.
\agreed with other postings,
however my man of the match was Boothy followed closely by their keeper .
I think Coops should be our next penalty taker, he has the kick and the bottle,
he has shown that time and time this season.
Good performance without a doubt, couple of teams are now looking over their shoulder.
May aswell try Cooper, i agree.
It would be sweet irony if we ended up winning the play offs on penalties…
Interesting that Sheeny’s run of scoring from the spot ended when he gave Danny Andrews the chance to get a hattrick at Ossett.
Bagged 6 today. In truth it could have been 10 2 for Witton. We were that dominant. In saying that Bamber Bridge were pityful and they are about 10th in the league!!! The referee was poor today. He failed to take action against a number of dangerous tackles from Bamber Bridge players and also failed to give us the advantage on a number of occasions. Hancock had a good half hour! but Boothy was my MoM!
Their goalie along with Boothy MOM in my opinion. At least 3 goals he could do nothing about but fantastic penalty saves. We missed 2 and I think we are in double figures for these misses.
Great performance all around though and great win against a rather poor and disjointed side.Very hospitable and kind natives !!
UTA. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
All played well against a poor BBFC.When the conditions permit nobody can pass the ball around like WItton.Pens are a concern if it goes to a shoot out though.! mind you getting our misses out of the way now .MOM for me despite pen miss was Ben.HE is playing so well now he almost doesn’t get a mention ! If player of year is about consistency then he has got to be close
Agree entirely about Josh by the way, unstoppable particularly first half
Being as you brought it up…
Player Of The Season voting forms will be in the programme from the next home league game.
Please complete and return these asap so we can get the trophies engraved.
Also available from the Club Shop, Tea Hut, and Turnstiles.
Agree Ben has been excellent all season. Plays with the right attitude, and has saved us so many goals with his recovery this season.
yep think its going to be a hard decisin for player of the year as there are a lot of contenders! You could say the whole team!!!
If you want to vote “The Whole Team” then stick it down!
might do that!!
Still a little drunk so take it with a pinch of salt, but should’ve been 10! Fanatastic performance from front to back. Only complaint is that we are awful at pens, to the extent that we can let Ben fight for one and actually get it. And miss it.
Obviously not an issue today but it seems to be a trend. I dont want to moan today, great win and tens for everyone, but if we do have an issue with pens we need to sort it before the “potential” play offs.
Gags MOM today for me, assuming we arent giving it to their keeper, who tried his best. 6 flattered them.
Anuy chance we can translate that form to a home match?
Deffo one of the better grounds ive been to this season and a round fiver for 2 pints means Bamber gets a solid 8/10.
If you look at the match report on the official site, you will notice that I put all players that played as the “MEN OF THE MATCH”. The result was gained by a fantastic team performance, and as such, they all deserved the accolade of MOM. Goals were scored by players entering the box, who laid the ball off to better positioned team mates, rather than being selfish by shooting!
great result, congratulations to pritch/mose, and not least THE PLAYERS, who are all taking this great club forward. we can now actually win this league with the superb management team and this wonmderful squad of players. we as fans SHOULD play our part in the push for promotion by getting down to the h4h stadium for the remaining fixtures to cheer onour beloved WITTON ALBION. just need to practice on penalty taking. come on witton.
Good following again today and noisy, supporting the team, shouting encouragement and having a go at the ref ! I know it’s easier when you are playing well and winning, but that’s the type of 12th man support the team needs. The crowd has a massive role to play in my view so let’s give it the big one at every game (home games too - simply get a few Pints down before hand like at away games !)
Attendance was 159 according to BBFC website.
When I saw Pritch at Queenie Price’s funeral I thanked him for producing a team that at times played like a non league Barcelona, lovely one touch football but all working hard for each other and no one thinking they are THE star. He smiled thinking I suppose that I was going over the top, but who can deny that at times we have played some sublime football? Oh we have had off days, these are young lads in the main and they are only semi professional after all but in the main they have given us a season to remember, long may it continue.
As for “Player of the Year” a few season ago I had a go at Matty Woods for lacking commitment in one pre season game, I can only say I now take back every word, his commitment now is second to none.
WHS.
Agreed they are a great bunch but you have to pick a player its very traditional, so for me it might be titch - possibly Sheehan or Ben so an interesting run in to catch the eye for me its not yet decided, lots of others deserve a shout to be honest
