CRACKING RESULT ! re loan players I think you can only have a maximum of 3 months loan then you have to have a break in the loan unless it was agreed up front to be a season loan. UTA
Following this afternoon’s results, we are three points behind the leaders Shaw Lane with three games in hand.
Tremendous result this team seems to go from strength to strength. Well done all. This is promising to be a very exciting season for us. As always thanks for the updates Wheels. UTA
A mean defence and two forwards with 20 goals between them, we’re doing things the right way.
Absolute brilliant result. This team has a really healthy habit of scoring goals.
Sure the old man will be made up in Lanzarote, roll onTuesday night
From Bedworth …
TRAMERE loanee Tolani Omotola’s hat-trick gave Witton a comprehensive win at the Oval.
But bizarrely the hosts could and should have been well ahead by the time Omotola headed his 41st minute opener before falling away after a three-goal second- half burst.
In the first minute United found space behind a static Witton defence when Iyesden Christie got on the end of a long clearance from James Martin, picking out Kieron Brehon who shot first time with Daniel Roberts pushing the ball over.
There was another opening in the sixth minute when Luke Rowe picked out Christie who had sneaked in behind the away defence but his volley was saved by Roberts after the keeper originally allowed the ball to slip through his grasp.
Jordan Archer poked a volley just wide from a Justin Marsden cross as the chances continued to be created.
In the 26th minute Richard Blythe pounced on a poor clearance from Matthew Devine sending Marsden clear on the right and he cut in before opting for power with a shot Roberts did well to get down to and push over.
There was a brief moment of alarm when Bradley Bauress wriggled clear of Archer to head over a Paul Williams corner.
Against the run of play it was Witton who went ahead four minutes before the break. A long throw from skipper Anthony Gardner was helped on by Robert Hopley and Omotola’s header crept inside Martin’s left-hand post.
Marsden shot tamely at Roberts as Bedworth looked for an equaliser and Blythe pulled a ball back into the path of Christie who mishit his right foot shot from eight yards.
Then deep in added time at the end of the first half Williams fired a free kick straight at Martin from just outside the D.
Despite going in behind Bedworth had enjoyed much the better of the first period but three goals in six second-half minutes killed off any hopes of a comeback akin to seven days earlier against Rugby Town.
The first cam on 55 minutes when Bauress got in on the right and slipped the ball to Hopley, his first shot was blocked by Nathan Haines and Elliot Parrott but the ball fell kindly for the striker to fire past Martin from 10 yards.
Two minutes later United lost possession just inside their own half and Omotola raced clear, easily avoided the onrushing Martin, and rolled the ball into an empty net.
Then just past the hour Williams played a free kick for Hopley who was denied by Martin, the ball came back in for a repeat performance but Omotola was on the loose ball quick as a flash to smash the loose ball past Martin.
Archer should have pulled one back but head a Rowe cross high over the bar from close range.
Bedworth then again almost had a consolation in added time when Archer was fouled 20 yards out but Rowe’s free kick struck the inside of Roberts’ right-hand post.

A very accurate report, and we did well to be still in the game at half-time. I don’t know what Carl said to the players at half-time, but this was very much a game of 2 halves!
Just back from an almost tropical Bedworth. Attendance given as 173, was more like 20,000 if you counted the wasps. First half I think we had one effort on goal and that was enough to go in with a half time lead. More efforts on target second half and more goals. First visit to this ground and a nice set-up it is complete with friendly locals. The artificial pitch was better with a more even bounce than Sutton Coldfield’s when we played Romulus, but the ball still spends too much time in the air.Just one blemish on the day, nono FAGGOTS have no place in football grounds in my opinion---- even with mushy peas chips and gravy. If it isn’t encased in pastry or bread it isn’t football food, faggots are far too haute cuisine.
Did not work for me.
WHS.
What a great result! That ground looked like it was daaan saath! Oh the memories! Basford away, big night out in Nottingham I reckon!
Great result, keep the run going boys. Looking forward to Tuesday and hopefully another 3 points.
Seems to be working ok.
