Witton continue their quest for cup glory on Friday night when they travel to Bootle in the Isuzu FA Challenge Trophy First Qualifying Round. Both clubs faced replays only three day ago in the Emirates FA Challenge Cup and successfully overcame their respective opponents. Witton go into the game in confident mood following an excellent result against Shildon whilst the Bucks beat Silsden following a draw in West Yorkshire. The last six games between the two have seen four draws and two wins for Bootle so Albion will be hoping that changes in this game. The long trip on Tuesday night meant Witton were short on numbers, but the fact they were able to field such a strong team and produce the performance and result they did is a credit to everyone involved. The departure of defender Oliver Hitchcox is disappointing for everyone, but the club have brought in a midfielder in Remi Raymond from Altrincham who is available for selection. Hopefully striker Freddy Garbutt will be available after having to be replaced at Shildon. Another difficult game faces Witton but if they can show the same spirit and determination as they did on Tuesday, they can get the right result. Kick off at Berry Street Garage Stadium is 7.45pm. A game to look forward to, hard to predict a team given recent signing, injuries and a desire maybe to reward those that played on Tuesday. So just good luck to whoever plays. UTA ---
