Brighouse Town vs Witton Albion

Tremendous Result - well done boys :clap

Happy Christmas all !!!

Their is a Santa after all, cracking win that UTA

Just got on a break at work and read the posts. I had to turn my phone off and on again to make sure it wasn’t playing up

That result is huge with a busy period coming up (weather permitting of course). Well done lads.
UTA

Great result. UTA

An awesome performance by the mighty Albs .a joy to watch specially the second half .Jamie Menagh’s goal to make it 1-5 has got to be the goal of the season .Loved every minute of it . I could go on and on but this must be one of the best matches I was privileged to attend .Fabuloso, fandabedozy and it was a cracker !! .
Thanks not only to the players but Carl Mc and his crew ,the amazing Harris family ,Jeff Metcalf ,Reg H and the merry band of Wittoners.
It’s a happy Christmas !! UTA :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap

Great result and great performance, especially as our next two games are against 1st and 2nd in the league!! (Warrington & Northwich)

Against a strong wind in the 1st half, we could/should have gone in 3 or 4 goals up, and they didn’t have a shot on target until the 45min and 7 seconds. Just my luck, that I had the golden goal time of 44 mins!!

In the 2nd half, the wind got even more blustery, to such an extent, Brighouse very rarely got out of their own half. We dominated play so much, its hard to understand that they are just outside of the playoffs.

I joined the Christmas party with my wife when I returned to the club. A really good night, but not very well supported by Witton fans unfortunately. I counted less than 30 Witton fans in the club, not counting the Powell family. Its a good job he brought 30 odd, and the Kitchen shop next door to Jims place brought a further 30 odd. As such, there was about 100-120 turnout which looked very good, but no doubt Jim will have more accurate figures.

A fantastic day all round. It was a pleasure to watch. The team looked solid and played their hearts out. It could be the start of good things from Carl, Gary and Paul.

That game was the best present Santa could have brought us. See you all Boxing Day and then on 28th lets demolish the green and white shite lol x

Well well. Very quiet on here. I wonder why? Oh hang on, we just won didn’t we?

Chuffed to bits for the hardy souls who made the trip and the team on and off the pitch.

My last away game before this was the debacle at Farsley. What a turn around.

Great to see a “team” playing their hearts out. Some great goals. We’re not out of the woods yet but the signs are there that, with the total backing of the fans, we can begin to climb the table.

UTA!

Yes was a very good win but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Two very big tests coming up. Lose them both and it makes Saturday slightly more insignificant.

We substantively battered a team higher in the table, an absolutely brilliant result for which all involved ought to be rightly lauded. This will mean we go into two tough fixtures with great confidence…I’M GETTING AHEAD OF MYSELF about this!!

COME ON THE ALBIOOOOON!!

Let’s not forget, we have now completed the double and scored nine goals in the process against a team pushing for the Play Offs, who hadn’t lost at home since August before Saturday. All the players deserve great credit for that and surely, confidence must be high as we go into a busy period.

A great win, all credit to the management and players for getting this result. Let’s get behind the team in the two matches to come and oossibly we might get the results that we all want, and see Witton climb the table.

Absolutely fantastic Saturday. What a difference having a centre forward who actually won every header “Hoppy” looks a good signing and we looked tighter at the back with Ellison the new signing who is quite burly and actually looks and acts like a defender. Credit to all the lads though as this was a hardworking display by them all. Lovely to see Jon Dawson pop one in and it was a truly great goal as Jon never gave up running to get on the end of the return pass so glad for him as he’s been consistent all season.
Credit also to Carl and his team as its obvious he’s been working with them all in training. Ok there are still some areas I’d like to see improve in the team but hey ho can’t fault the effort and team spirit and that goes a long way towards being a successful team. Just lets keep it up. We’ve got two very hard games coming up and if we give a good account of ourselves and get a point from them then that has to be progress. Well done its nice not to be critical for a change and give some praise that is fully deserved. UTA

A heart warming victory and wonderful xmas present to everyone involved at the club. Wouldn’t it be good if we could beat the green slime on their own patch. Merry Christmas to all and a happy and successful New Year.

Don’t think its a case that Wittoners weren’t delighted about the great result on Saturday! Our chairman’s programme notes in November probably didn’t help saying the season was more or less over and that we were already building for next season, which hasn’t exactly filled us all with optimism and excitement for the rest of this one despite a 5-1 away win!

Anyway lets hope we beat Warrington boxing day and give the slime a Christmas stuffing a few days thereafter. A few good results and you never know a play off push might not be completely out of the question! UTA and Happy Christmas to all Wittoners

With the addition of Rob Hopley, I think we have a front 4 as good as any in the league. The big question is can we keep a tight defence. The next 2 games will be a good test of that.

After a fairly awful last 3 months, we are now going in the right direction and have reason to be optimistic based on recent results, whilst also recognising that we perhaps have some way to go to reach the standards that NVFC and Warrington have set this season.

Lets just enjoy the games over the festive period and get behind the team. I am sure the team will be up for the fight.

Happy Christmas all !!
