Message to Mr. Finlay. You really must get the team to start games with the urgency that they finish them with!! All the games I have seen this season (not that many) we have allowed the opposition to take the initative then worked really hard to get it off them. Let’s not give it them in the first place. As for Saturday, play all three strikers from the start if the new lad is eligible.
WHS.

Shoddy, off key and ‘can’t be arsed’ performance.Didn’t get out of first gear till 80th minute.Very embarrassing to watch, easily the worst match of this season so far.
All in all a really crap show.Null point.WAKE UP LADS .

Not good was it ? very difficult to stay interested and for 70 mins we did nothing really except pass to the opposition ! midfield was awful and we deserved to be 2 0 down, why then did we start to try and play then ? why not from the start, appreciate why we signed a striker - is he any good -too early to say imo looked fairly unfit, but then dont a lot of the team ! but i really think we need a midfielder who can hold the ball, pass and win tackles much more than a striker, I think the general feeling is we are in a false position in the league and we are not very good - but i still think the league is poor and we can get out of it this season but dont expect the fast flowing football of 2 or 3 years ago, we have not got the players to do it, but at the very least id expect us to be fitter and to try harder thats how you get consistency, cmon Gary get them sorted out in training never mind the technical stuff get them fitter.

up and at em for saturday cmon wittern

On the plus side I thought we made more chances - a great tip over by their keeper to deny Maylett in the first half and a couple of debateably chalked offside “goals”. On the downside we give the ball away to cheaply and pick the wrong option too often.

Last 20 mins we battered them, but left it too late which was really frustrating as we could have played at that tempo much sooner.

I thought the new guy showed some composure and good touch at times but didn’t get a lot of service.

I think we have to accept we are in the league we are in, accept its not great and get on with it. We haven’t been comprehensively outplayed,we have lost games we really should have won and i don’t think we are in a false position.

Stop moaning, let Gary worry about the team and performances and lets try and stay positive - difficult though that may be. The whingers are driving people off the terraces as much as anything else.

It was a no-win situation last night. We could have gone at it at full speed, won but could of had key players injured.

I think we have to stop getting our knickers in a twist over Gary.As the chairman said in his article last night,Gary is going nowhere,so we better get use to it.

Strong words indeed but completely true.

Great postings Knutsfordian and Super Mario ! As Mr Chairman says Gary is here to stay so onwards and upwards !

A nothing game on the back of two very important, hard fought games and another vital one on Saturday. The players were tired that was obvious. Not sure who people think are’t fit? Fozzy and Mose run miles up front, Brad is up and down the wing all game, Hall and Henry are both end to end players, not an ounce of fat on Rudd, 2 young lads in Adams and Neville. Having seen the players train pre season (when all non league clubs do most of their fitness work) I don’t think theres a valid argument.

Ditto - the name Dave MacPherson springs to mind!

Can we sign him please?

If we do I’ll get the beers in.
