Chasetown FC vs Witton Albion

Witton begin a crucial week when they travel to Chasetown on Saturday in an Evo-Stik Division One South fixture. The Scholars are in the middle of an excellent run which has seen them climb into the top four in the table. They are also unbeaten in front of their own fans since the opening day of the season. Witton’s away form has been good so far and they will be hoping that continues as they face two big league games in three days. The fixture represents Witton’s second visit to Chasetown, the last one being back in the 2009 season when they last figured in the Division and during that season the Staffordshire side came out on top in both fixtures. The fixture promises to be a tough encounter for both teams and Witton will want to keep the good league form going, particularly as they have games in hand on all the teams above them. Chasetown will be hoping to consolidate their position in the top four but they will certainly be tested. Kick off at The Scholars Ground is 3pm.
