Very similar game to saturday against Burscough. Not much between the two teams, Clitheroe had two chances and took them while we looked like a rabbit in the headlights once we got to the final third.
Rob Hopley needs some quality alongside him and i dont think Mason is the answer. He makes plenty of good runs but if he doesnt get the ball or loses it his head drops instead of trying to win it back!
On the plus side though the pie, peas and gravy was nice.

Yes we lacked a sparkle and quality again, was always a struggle once Tom Schofield was forced off early with an injury following a horror tackle that went unpunished (yes the ref was crap ) since losing Firth, Ellison, Menagh and especially Reeves we have not been as good bringing in less quality replacements and dropping a decent left back and 100% trier ie Dawson for the awfully one (RIGHT) footed Parker is just nonsense We got ripped apart there !
It looks like we will have to wait now for next season to see us improve ! this squad has too many holes in it and is too light weight we get bullied very easily and neither Burscough or Clitheroe were that good but they play hard and defend for their lives We just dont do that ! Mason might come good He is a bit like Jay Matthews all the pace and physique to be very good but makes some bad play decisions and final touch/ball is often poor, perhaps He needs a goal or two to build confidence or maybe a shift out wide and Titch up front may be worth a go because he is very quick ! The only good things for me from the night were Schoey appeared not too badly injured just bruised afterwards and Titch could be back on Saturday. UTA
