Is it me or are there 2 football teams in Northwich still? Just feel the Guardian have forgotten about one of them, just because they are going through a tricky time at the moment…

The Guardian’s reporting of Vics’ ‘tricky time’ has been more comprehensive, detailed and lengthy than any other media outlet.

At the same time, the proportion of our coverage dedicated to Witton Albion, in accordance with principles we have applied consistently, has been tailored to take account of that club’s higher ranking in the non-league football pyramid.

That would have happened irrespective of where Northwich Victoria are playing this season.

No Dave, there aren’t 2 teams in Northwich anymore.

There is one team in Northwich. One in Lostock. One in Middlewich. One in Winsford.

There is also one in Stafford.
