To put last night it into perspective, if you had said 6 months ago that we would have just lost a football match in a higher division against one of the favourites to go up after a 20 game unbeaten run would you have taken it?
Exactly! the unbeaten run we have been on has deliberately been kept low-key, now its over then I think I would like to start by congratulating the players and the management team for giving us such new found pride.
That isn’t to say we rest on our laurels, every point won in this division will have to be fought for - but FANTASTICLY well done lads and thank you.
Now if you could just go on another 20 game run…

Thanks god! :clap
Cannot fault the effort last night at all, this team ALWAYS give 110% and that is why i will always stay behind and clap them off the pitch win, lose or draw!
We could have actually won the game last night, goal disallowed at the beginning, they got a dodgy pen, we should have had a pen etc etc.
Well done lads, KEEP UP THE HARD WORK!
We are going to lose games like last night, that’s just football. Anyone remember getting turned over by bottom of the table teams last season! It happens.
I was impressed with the determination after going two goals down. A lot of teams would have rolled over and died in that situation. I also saw the players after the game and they looked gutted at losing. That’s the sort of team we want. A team who will fight for every point they can.
Agree entirely, we are now mid table if thats where we end up then great a decent season after being promoted, I think the issue is that deep down we believe this team is even better than that ! because of its spirit and effort and overall qualities I think we will learn to be better over the season against the better opposition and we have 2 good players to come back into the squad yet so we can confidently expect a little more more. UTA
It’s been a brilliant run, a spell which is my favourite being a Wittoner. If we don’t get anywhere near the play-offs this year then so what? It’s just good be be playing at a level which we deem acceptable. How nice was is to get not far off 500 for a midweek league game?
Couldn’t agree more, what a run! The team has put in some excellent displays and have been a joy to watch. Which has made us all very proud to be wittoners. Great to see the gate nearly hitting the 500 mark for a midweek game. This team will bounce back we have proven we are a match for anyone in this division. Onwards and upwards.
Yes Have to agree completely, when we play the football we are capable of it seems effortless and so effective it’s a joy to watch. The Chorely fans near me were impressed last night! COME ON THE ALBIOOOOOON!
agree entireliy, it’s been a good run and given us some wonderful memories. we were bound to lose sooner or later, so now that it’s happened we can now, hopefully go on another good run. after all the fa cup is imminent. this squad can, with their ability and determination added to just a little bit of luck, give us a good run in the cup.
Mario senior said the Chorley match was a fantastic game of football, entertaining from start to finish. This match was watching Witton was all about, total football against one of the divisions big hitters.
Brian and Mike have set a bench-mark,there is very little better than Witton playing total football.
Mario senior has been there and bought the tee-shirt,he witnessed total football against Chorley and was very up-beat,enough said.
Let’s be honest, we lost against what was - on the balance sheet at least - supposed to be a better side than us.
A big, direct, organised side (in the Telford and Fleetwood mould of the past). They might finish above us this season, but i know which brand of football i would rather watch!
If you look at some of the results we had in this outstanding run, it really hits home.
The biggest 2 are obviously the 2 play off games.
Outstanding to go to Curzon and win 3 - 0 when they hadn’t lost at home in the league all season.
This time last season we had already been turned over at home to Lancaster. I don’t think any of us would have imagined where we would be a year later!
Well done Pritch, Mike, Nige and the whole squad!!
