 Has a day and kick-off time been confirmed for next week’s FA Cup home game?

As it stands:

Saturday, 12th September 3pm

Replay scheduled - Tuesday, 15th September 7.45pm.

If anything changes the information will be amended accordingly.

FC United away.

Admission: Adults £9, Concessions £5, Juniors £2.

Parking: £5. (pre bookings ONLY).

Trafford Away, now FC United away, the signs are there 3rd round at Old Trafford before we know it!!!

i think it’s a great draw.if a crowd of only 1500 pay £9 a head win or lose we’ll get over £4000 in gate money

 Potentially another £4500 FA Cup Prize Money up for grabs if the Albion can sneak a win at FC United (In addition to the £1925 prize money from the Preliminary Round and the £3000 prize money from Saturday).

FCUM’s home gates this season have been 3000+ this season!

Well not a great draw in terms of progressing further would be a big cup upset, however if we get a gate of 3000 and we take a third of the gate ? then at say an average say £7 per head allowing for concessions then could be upwards of £7k income from the game ? which would be some compensation for going out, but lets be positive and go for a win as well UTA

I don’t think we could have hoped for a better draw, and it is the FA cup so who knows, maybe we can spring a surprise? It was only a few months ago we played them and we have a new team and so do they probably, but i don’t think the fact that they are 2 leagues higher now should put us off. Just flippin go for it and see what happens! Pressure on them rather than us at this stage i think UTA

Everyone involved with the club has got to be happy with the draw. We are going to get more in the way of revenue from this fixture if we lose than if we won the tie against any other team at this stage of the competition.
If we played against someone else in front of 300 we could have an off day or be unlucky and basically come away with very little.
FC United get better crowds than a lot of clubs in league 2 and the conference so for us it can only be a good thing

FA Cup tie? Could be their biggest gate yet, maybe even a full house!!
WHS.

Not to sure we want Tucker there lol he would get Lynched ! on reflection it is a good draw and everyone has the chance to be a hero.

According to FA rules:
Net gate receipts shall be divided as follows:
(i) In matches prior to the Third Round of the Competition Proper (other than replayed
matches in the Competition Proper), the net gate receipts of each match shall be
divided equally between the competing Clubs.
(ii) In replayed matches in the Competition Proper prior to the Third Round, 5% of the net
gate receipts shall be remitted to The Association and the balance shall be divided
equally between the competing Clubs.

So Colin, going on your figures, and putting to one side the home teams costs of staging the match, our share could be £10,000.00

Excellent !!!

Whoopee!! But let’s not chuck it away, let’s use it to lower our “Historic Debt” that is holding us back.
WHS.

I am Pretty sure Neil wont be " throwing it away " but it will be useful income on top of the tenancy money that all helps keep debt down and I don’t think we will be over investing in the wage bill.

Its very helpful income yes but lets bear in mind FA cup games at this stage of the competition rarely match league attendances. (only have to look at ours last week and others - many saw a significant drop in reported attendances).
Also FC no doubt have a lot of season ticket holders etc for league games where as cup is all pay so it typically attracts less and lets be honest for them we are hardly a big draw. Man Utd are also at home that afternoon I believe.
Finally although 2 divisions above us, their prices aren’t that much different (ie when we played Alty 4 years ago their prices were much higher per person).
In my opinion a brilliant draw yes, could have been worse, definitely, but season changing it is not.

“Season changing it is not” you say, it could be if we win!!
WHS.

Should Witton overcome Ossett Albion in tomorrow night’s replay, we will meet Radcliffe Borough at home in the First Qualifying Round - scheduled for Saturday, 31st October.
