Farsley Celtic vs Witton Albion.

That’s our heaviest defeat in an Evo-Stik League game since we lost 6-1 at Skelmersdale on 9th October 2010.

Neil, Said Skelmersdale late 60’s and sure enough here is what I’ve just posted as STATTO in the Match Report on the club website.

The 0-7 defeat is our heaviest reverse since Skelmersdale United beat us 8-0 in a Cheshire League fixture at White Moss Park on December 30th 1969.

That season and just 3 weeks previous Droylsden had recorded a 7-1 league win at the Central Ground.

For the record the last time we suffered a 0-7 defeat was Boxing Day 1929 when we lost at Connah's Quay & Shotton in a Cheshire League fixture. ( & no I wasn’t there before anyone posts

We’re in disbelief!
Where did you leave the other 4?

What went wrong 2nite? One minute people are saying we’re in reach of the play offs then the next we’re getting hammered by a bottom of the table team 7-0!

Can’t blame Dundas for this one
The other 4 didn’t get on the bus to start with. By the way I’ve sent you a pm, reply if want to!?!

Well, where do we go from here?.
Please Mark go and get Pritch. He has ONE HELL OF A JOB TO DO with some of the players signed during the summer just not
up to the job.Don,t expect miracles immediately, but we must have the passion and pride restored and Pritch is the man to do it.
WE ALL HAVE TO BELIEVE SUPPORT AND TRUST IN HIM,BUT IT WON,T HAPPEN OVERNIGHT.Mr DUNDASS HAS LEFT A SHAMBLES,BUT WE WILL COME THROUGH THIS

2 good results followed by 1 terrible one, too many players showing a lack of desire last night and we need a new manager ASAP to find a system for all the players to play and work too. Hopefully this can be put right with a big performance weekend and all the players should be looking to make a big impression.

UTA

Agree 2 good results but against very poor teams
Remember Prescot Cables 6-0

I seem to remember that the last time Mr Ogden was in charge was not very successful either. As for bringing back Pritch not sure that he would want to.
WHS.

I recall that Skem 6 - 1 all too well…i think we were back on the M6 by the 80 minute mark!

Underlying problems? Well the uncertainty over the manager situation probably wont be helping.

In regards to Oggie’s last spell in charge, we didn’t pull up any trees. However he has had a decent career at this level, and a lot of the players he brought in went to play a part in our promotion season.

Pritch is the man to put some pride back into the club. However, he isn’t a miracle worker. If he came back people would need to realise that.

1 last thought though. ADwavesdinner. Didn’t Newcastle Town, Leek Town or Norton Utd Pheonix have a game tonight? Surprised you are still interested in your old club?
I beg your pardon? How rude are you? Not surprised this forum is as dead as a dodo with attitudes like yours!’

Who are norton utd phoenix a new team?

There was no need, we appreciated the Ex Norton folk following us, it was a shame Scott did not work out as manager but there is no need to fall out over it , its football and s**t happens.

I was all for one for Pritch to come back but i now am starting to doubt if he would be the right man for the job. It isn’t a quick fix for anyone few defeats and i think everyone will be on his back, we need someone that hard faced and can take alot of criticism on the chin and isn’t a lets do things right/goody goody sort of person.

id fancy Shaun Reid, but cant see him leaving Warrington for Witton, but that’s the type of manager this club needs at the minute.

Totally agree let’s go get him

I disagree with us needing Shaun Reid I’d much rather have Pritch back.

It won’t be a quick fix it will take time for whoever comes in. Personally I’d start at the back and build from there. I’d also play players in their natural positions (wasting titch in midfield still baffles me). Rebuilding in season is notoriously difficult we need to stabilise and then try to kick on next season. We did this last time Pritch came in we got a settled back five, then kicked on and got promoted the season after.

Absolutely agree Shaun Reid is not for me.Don,t Forget he will have a far bigger budget following their cup run
and that will create problems we don,t want or need.
No thanks, Pritch is the man for me as i said on a previous post it won,t be easy for him but he has got what MR REID
hasn,t WITTON BLOOD flowing through his veins and i bet he is feeling the hurt we are all feeling right now.
Just don,t expect miracles from him straight away.

Pritch (or anyone else) would be out of their minds to take over this blummin car crash!! PARTICULARLY Pritch please don’t wish this upon him…Still at least we’ve got the groundshare with our lovely tenants driving us forward…

MM why are you always so negative?pritch loves the club and the challenge so if you’re reading this policeman brian please come and rescue us.UTA.

Right. I’ve calmed down a bit from that rubbish, so for those not on Facebook, here’s my thoughts on the game:

Totally and absolutely inept. A disgrace to the shirt and the fans that paid good money to travel and watch. I don’t care if you are beaten by a better footballing side. And believe me we were made to look like schoolboys, but to not close down, tackle, mark, follow runners or generally look like you give a f**k is totally inexcusable. The players should forgo any wages and compensate those who travelled .veryangry

I do hope the players read this!

If Brian is ready to return and can manage in a different way to look after himself from the pressures of balancing home life, a hard job and being our manager then I would not look further, He needs the right backroom staff to make it work and I bet even he has learned something from his spell out. Its a hard job but Pritch is the only one I would really want any others would be gamble and we do not seem to be good gamblers. Decision needed sooner rather than later. Farsley - forgot about it all ready UTA

The Guardian reporting that a new manager is unlikely before the weekend or Tuesday’s trip to Mossley.
