Never posted on here before, being a ‘74’ fan, only popped in to read about you. This is not a point scoring exercise just an outsiders view.
If you look back a couple of seasons everything seemed safe, secure and ‘all in it together’ at your club. Whatever turns out to be true or false about Pritch I don’t think you will find yourselves in the position we experienced. It will blow over and life will go on. However, there may be a bigger lesson to be learned - just how quick things can turn sour at a football club.
When we started our trust everything seemed fine with us but thank goodness we did it. We’ve kept the soul of our club alive and now it’s all ours.
When the dust settles would it be a good time for WA to have a supporters trust?
One lesson I learned through the darker days was that the value of the football community as a whole supporting each other is far more valuable and rewarding than anything else in football.
Yes I’ll continue to enjoy your discomfort when you lose and be joining in the banter (!) but I would get no satisfaction at your club experiencing anything like we had.
Just a thought. Don’t dismiss it because we did it first, at this level of football it’s the way forward.
It seems to me that this decision was made on more than footballng results. Put the two records up against each other and Pritchard was far and above the better candidate and proven at this level.
Then throw into the mix all of this that has come out and it appears that someone on that panel either has an issue with Mark Harris or Brian Pritchard. If it is the former than surely Mark’s position is now under threat.
Taking away the fact that Brian is who is he is this is no way to treat anyone and once again the board is proving they have no morals and are not trustworthy.
Brian - if you do read this please dont stay away. Come back and challenge these people head on. I’m sure most would back you for chairman! Its about the only job you haven’t done for our club.
If, and I think it may be a big “IF” all this is true I think someone should call a Extraordinary General Meeting and there should be a vote of no confidence in concerning the Board.

Sadly it is true. Everything was set up for him to take over just prior to Lancaster game. There is documentary evidence of this. Everything Robbo has said is the 100% truth.
People say Pritch didn’t interview well. In my opinion (and it’s just that) he was set up to fail as he was led to believe that he was due to start and he was simply meeting the board. Some of the panel spent the interview criticising some aspects of his last period in charge. Not sure the other candidates had the same treatment so possibly not a fair process.
However the club went a certain way and I’m certain Carl will do his absolute best and will be determined to turn things around.
It has left Pritch very disappointed at events and despite his attempts to speak to some of the panel for clarity they continue to ignore his calls and messages.
But the world does not revolve around Pritch or Witton Albion and I’m sure both will move on. Decisions were made for reasons best known to those who made them and id like to think were made in the best interests of Witton Albion.
Good luck for the future.
There only interested in themselves !!
Our club now has Rushe and Northwich Victoria on the premises but not Brian Pritchard, is there any wonder I and many others are totally disillusioned? I am not going to post anymore on here, I know I have said that before but it hurts too much to read just how far my lovely club has sunk, not on the playing field but off it.
