At last the season starts on Saturday, This will be our season!!! Wittoners from top to bottom of the Club again at last… including management. This year we’ll make our own luck.
Practice, Steve Davies and many others said that the more they parcticed the luckier they got, now we have had plenty of “practice” time we had the luck!!

eagerly anticipating what could prove to be a glorious season for our beloved team, witton albion. good luck to pritch and the boys. what i have seen in the pre season friendlies fills me with optimism, as the performances from the players has been second to none. also many thanks to all the people who make witton what they are, A PROUD AND FRIENDLY CLUB. so come on all you albion fans, get down to wincham park to cheer on the reds in a very realistic push for promotion.
Like to add my sincere best wishes to our new boss MR PRITCHARD, to SuperMike, Nige,Terry and the undersung John Yates oh and Ed Robinson too. Ed’s dads pretty good too in the shape of my old mucker Pete and all the guys who do the pitch very important for our flowing footie!! I think we will not be short on effort this season with these lads in charge whether we will have enough luck, skill, quality etc only time will tell but it certainly won’t be for want of trying. Just hope we get a good start and stay away Wittoners start returning now they know we have people from top to bottom at the club who are genuine 110% Wittoners. Surely a club like ours is worth time and effort to support.
Good to see a reincarnated Karl Thomas back at the club in the shape of Alex Titchener. This lad is mustard and the icing on the cake for me but the other lads have been impressive too in the pre season build up and the big thing for me is that they all seem to want to play for the club and play for each other too.
Saying all that I have to confess at time of writing I’m looking forward to seeing Sachin Tendulkar trying to stave off a rampant England team on Saturday so unfortunately I will be missing.
Mind you who knows if our bowlers get stuck in later today it could be all over and I’ll be gracing Wincham Park with my presence instead!!

They need a reincarnated Bradman, Hobbs and Sutcliffe to save this game!! I am umpiring at Cholmondley but my thoughts will be at Wincham Park so I may make some wrong decisions (no change there) but one decision I will NEVER change is being a WITTONER, Come on the Albs!!
