Albion newbie here, well not properly Albion, but I’m a big fan of managing in the non-leagues on Footy Manager and Witton happen to be the team I’m currently managing in the Blue Square North. I make it a habit of mine to go on the real-life forum of the non-league team I’m managing to get a feel for the club. I have to say I like this club already. I’m actually a Bolton Wanderers fan and hate anything to do with Man Utd, and that includes FCUM - so thanks for beating them!
Anyway speak soon, hope to get your boys into the Football League on FM and hope to see you rise soon in real life also!
Welcome Chris, hope you have a long and fruitful relationship with the Mighty Albion.
Even better than posting on the forum, why not get down to WP for a match?
You never know, but the trouble is Northwich is a bit far from Bolton without a car! We’ll see how long I stay in my “job”, I was at Burscough before here (a club I’ve heard pipped you to the post a few times!) and I managed to get sacked after only one season. Hopefully I’ll fare better at Witton.
Welcome aboard Chris.
One of my favourite players of all time came from Bolton Wanderers to Everton, back in the 60’s.
Now don’t all laugh, but it was Dennis Stevens!
He was an inside-right when we bought him, but Harry Catterick called him a mid-fielder. I believe he was the first person ever to be called ‘a midfielder’.
We went on to win the League in 1962/63 and the cup in 1966.
If u hate Man Utd then don’t bother coming thro’ my turnstile if u ever make it to WP
