How many grounds have you been to?

Ever wondered how many stadiums you’ve been to? Tick them off on the “Ground Log Day” feature on the www.WeWillFollow.co.uk website.

All current and old grounds listed, and we have an overall and Albion only leaderboard. It’s free, just go to the site, stick in your name and club and tick away.

Would like to see Witton on the leaderboard, top members for a non league club i’ve got is 22 Telford.

WARNING - I got a series of error messages after logging on and trying to input the relevant details.

After I decided enough was enough and exited, any website I keyed in failed to be recognised.

I’ve just tried it, and came out unscathed. However it was very annoying all the time outs etc. I see Vijay only put down for 3 grounds, so I reckon he must have got fed up a lot sooner.

Just 2 grounds behind you CHAD

Too right I got fed up.After a series of error messages I gave up.:frowning:

With regards to the errors on this, it will work ok if you update your list slowly. The best bet is to tick the ground then click somewhere else on the page away from the box. It writes to the data file after each selection and therefore the error occurs when you click the next one before it has written to the file. Leave a couple of seconds before making each selection and you will avoid the error message (on some browsers you will see the green bar move left to right each time at the bottom of your screen to signify it is writing to the file). It frustated me for the first few clicks until I worked this out and thereafter it did not crash once.

Happy to say that I am at the mighty total of 101 grounds (would be a few more with other non-league grounds included)!!! Can this be beaten fellow Wittoners!!!

ELI goes top with 107. NOT for long if Mark goes on it though.:frowning:

I thought the ideas was that you only ticked the grounds you’ve paid to get in, not the ones you’ve just driven passed?

Nice work Eli, must be all the expensive trips to watch the prawn sandwich munchers!!!

TT, I have been inside them all, but can’t claim to have paid on every occasion!!!

This competition is not fair! I’m an Everton fan, and Everton F.C. have never ever been outside the top flight (as far as I know). Therefore I am disadvantaged to supporters of teams like Man United, Liverpool, Man City etc., who have all spent years outside of the top flight.

Noticed Rob Sproston has jumped in at 1st Place with 137! He’s obviously proud of that figure, as he has had it highlighted.

Been around our Rob hasn’t he!

Looks like he has paid the £10 to achieve this. I would rather give the money to Witton.

The majority of the grounds I visitied were when I worked as a Sports Photographer.

Rob never realised that you were a sports photographer. Do you have any old prints or stuff in your’e archives and maybe even some specific to witton? The reason I ask mate is that if you could get some stuff together it could be we could compile a booklet or small book or something of interesting photo’s that we could then flog in the club and raise some funds. It might not even be a goer just an idea mate thats all!! I know nostalgia is an “IN” word at the moment and if you can make some money from it it all helps! Like the Sons of Albion that type of thing!!
As they say at Tesco’s “Every little helps”!!
I’m probably talking complete codswallop as usual!!

After his outstanding spell with us. Junior has been released from Crewe. Anyone know if Jim is making a move to sign him.

I think Rob should get in touch with George Hespall and get “Sons of Albion” revamped with his [Rob’s]photographs.
This book is a great read about our Witton.

Sorry guys, would you believe it I never covered a Witton match in 17 years as a photographer, I was sent to several non league grounds but never Witton.

Fair enough Rob just an idea!Might some interesting stuff though and might be even worth a 10 minute spot in a sportmans dinner or something as you might have some interesting stories or anecdotes, e.g worst and best ground you photographed on, several high profile players you may have photographed even if these were just high profile nonleaguers. It just sounds like this could be a different angle and might be of interest to us fans anyway!

I do talks about my expericences all over the world, quite a lot actually, not sure I am popular enough for the supporters to come and listen to, some would rather have a doll of me and put pins in!!

Of course I would do it, if it would help raise some money for the club, having worked at the Maracana, San Siro, Nou Camp, Bernabeu, Mossley, Willenhall - got a few stories to tell!

some would rather have a doll of me and put pins in!!

where can we get the dolls from , i am sure that would be a huge fund raiser then for witton.

Sounds really interesting Rob and quite diverse well worth a slot and I’m sure the fans would enjoy something like this! . Yes you post on here and I don’t always agree with everything you say but a lot of what you do say does make sense particularly the financial side of things!! Its all about opinions anyway and as long as we are not slagging each other off in a personal way then its ok, the light hearted banter is quite entertaining at times.
Poor old WHS takes some stick in much the same way! The thing is at the end of the day we are all Wittoners at heart its just that personal circumstances sometimes means we can’t always committ all of the time but I think the majority all do their best be it financial help or putting time in free to help. I hope to able to do the latter now my career is coming to an end as money is going to be fairly tight but I’ll try and contribute in this way once I get myself sorted be it helping maintain the ground or helping in the office or something!!
