INFORMATION EVENING

A good turn out for the information meeting. Pritch & Mark came across very well. The main news to come from the meeting for me, was the new shirt sponsor (Sock Shop) They have paid up front, so Happy days. The money from the deal is to go to team funding. Mark wouldnt say how much the deal was worth. Pritch talked about bringing in new players, a possible replacement for titch. No names given of who :) I dont blame Pritch for not saying who hes going for. Hes made a number of enquiries for players. We will find out as to who we get in good time.
Pritch did point out that if you take away the goals that Titch scored, we still scored over 70 goals.
Mark also said he was happy the compensation that the club got fot Titch.
Some news that wasn`t so good, is the pre season games with Man Utd & Chester have been cancelled.
Witton are not to blame for this. The club hope to have nine pre season games.

A word for Andy Simpson who was present at the meeting. Andy took a lot stick / good banter, so credit to you Andy. I think things have started to get better with the exposure Witton get in the Guardian. It also helps that Pritch does a lot of work trying to get us in the paper.
I also have to say the coverage we got for the Play off final was awesome.

Thanks to everyone for this meeting and being patient with me as I always ask loads of daft questions. Thanks to Pritch and Mark who were very patient with me during and after the meeting.
I’ve never been so upbeat about the club since the early 1990 period. We really are buzzing and if Pritch can sign that replacement for Titch then we really will take the Premier by storm. As it is now we’ll do ok anyway with 70 goals without Titch but a new striker would definately be the icing on the cake.
I think special mention should be made for Alison who apart from being a good looking lass and brightening the place up,(hope its PC to say this) she is working really very hard getting sponsorship deals. Without this sort of thing we would not be as far on as we are!!
I feel the whole club is just working as one at the moment and I’m so proud to be a supporter of what is the best club anywhere in the world. It might sound daft that but it is’nt when we keeping winning friends and handling ourselves with integrity, dignity, and are portrayed as a community club that cares which is what we are now and always have been. People have seen what is going on around them at other clubs so WITTON is seen now as a club run with one of the best reputations in soccer.
I can only urge the populace of Northwich to really get behind a club that is properly run and get down and enjoy the great football (101 goals last season), and the fantastic atmosphere. To parents I would say bring your kids along because they will enjoy it in a close knit family atmosphere where the most violence you’ll ever see is me giving Tony Waterman a bear hug!!
