Slipped a place to 11th but gained a point on the play offs
Just got back. Broken the hoodoo with one point as Kendal have been one of our bogey teams . Very heavy pitch which slowed Danny and Jay . I am no expert but boots with longer spikes may have helped . all in all a reasonable display against a determined Kendal team. One point is better than no points . UTA :clap :clap :clap
I must have had a senior moment last evening . I mean studs not spikes !!

Strange game in an even stranger atmosphere! Kendal fans are not a happy bunch at the moment and the new Chairman is the reason why after cutting the wage bill and firing a few board members which then led to other board members resigning!
This led to a silent protest from about 20 supporters who watched the game from the graveyard across the road!!
A group of elderly fans standing near us in the first half also gave the Chairman an earful everytime he walked past them so plenty of off the field problems!
On the field Kendal played some decent stuff as we did also but the pitches at this time of the year dont allow for good football, once we took the lead i thought we would win comfortably and we had several opportunities to increase the lead before a Kendal player went on a run taking on about 4 Witton players before slotting the ball home
Second half was a much more even game and either side could of scored more but for some great saves and defending, Witton almost snatched a win with the last kick of the game in a goalmouth scramble when with the keeper beaten a weak shot was cleared by a defender.
The new lad from Wrexham did pretty well even though he only looks 14! Some good control and he has an eye for a pass.
All in all a good performance and another game unbeaten

Another point and we carry on unbeaten for a good few games now. Gutted I couldn’t make it. 3 points would be great next week UTA
It would have been a better point if we had beaten New Mills on tuesday ! I am still worried about our lack of signings, we should not be playing Gards at centre back he is the best full back in this league and of course Billy Reeves plays his last game on saturday after his loan ends, having seen such an excellent period of recovery it would be sad to lose out on upcoming results due to the lack of at least 2 signings and ideally 3-4 would be better our squad is wafer thin and any injury suspension cause us problems.
Yeah I agree wholeheartedly with your post CJ. I must say I was surprised at the young winger coming in before a centre back. For me we are desparate to get Gards back at right back which could have meant Parker filling the number 7 shirt short term. Billy Reeves will be like losing two players and will take some replacing. Also the big centre forward is due back and Jay could also have filled the winger role. Ah well can’t argue with what Carl has done so far so in him we trust UTA.
