I’ve just watched the ‘Classics’ on SKY Sports One, and it reminded me of the true story of a Liverpool fan watching his team on the box playing in the 2005 European Cup Final. At half-time, Liverpool were losing 3-0 to AC Milan. He hung himself (yes true story). We all know what went on in the 2nd half, as Liverpool came back and won on penalties. His epitaph? Should have KTF ---

So to sum up; We lost our 8th game on the spin, cleared one off the line, they missed a pen, and Willis should have been sent off? And we are still blaming all of this on bad luck?! ---

Sounds like a better performance last night which is a start on the right road. I think a lot now rests on Ossett away on the 8th. A win there could change the whole season and see us make significant progress up the league and away from the relegation zone, yes I know it’s only early but we don’t want to be near there at any stage. However defeat on Saturday and at Ossett would leave Nigel’s posistion untenable in my view and a change would be required. Lets hope it doesn’t come to that and the players are made aware of how crucial the next couple of games are! ---

Robbo, I don’t think it is “bad luck.” We are poor, but we can and will get better, the only question is “How soon is it going to happen”? I will be doing my best to be there on Saturday with my young grandson in tow for his first Witton game, weather permitting. If I don’t make it I will donate once again to the fund, for it is only money that is going to get us out of the hole we are in. I am not wealthy, I give what I can afford, and we must all do the same. Some can give a pound, some £10, but it will all count in the end. It is that or consider the unthinkable and amalgamate with Vics, do you really want that? WHS. ---

The people who are saying keep the faith we only need a win on Saturday and that will turn things round everything will be fine. Just wondering are these the same people who thought we would get promoted last season when it was clear that we had not got the bottle. Bless ---

Valid point Jo (I don’t subscribe to the KTF club!)- But whats your solution then? We’ve got rid of JV because the players had no bottle, and the players that had ‘no bottle’ have now gone. Problem solved?!? We’ve got a new manager Nigel, and new players, and the only improvement on last year could be the champions spot. We’re not going to do that obviously - so what should we do now? ---

Which all dovetails in nicely with the point i have made under the Leigh topic… Jo, what disappoints me is that you think it is wrong for FANS of this Club to so dearly cling to the thought of promotion last year. And now you seem to take great satisfaction from the fact that we were all ultimately proved wrong. Surely i have mis-understood your post? I know you are a devout Witton fan, and very passionate about the Team, so i know you also will have been desperate for us to achieve promotion. So why ridicule the rest of us for being so desperate for it also?? Let the Vics fans do that, and let the Witton fans stick togther. ---

I DID mean it when I said just put me down for all home wins when I am not at the games and I will pay you later. Don’t forget we are watching non league football at level 7 in the pyramid so there will always be some misplaced passes or poor finishing or other less than perfect moments (including much of the refereeing). The trick is to redress the balance to more good moments than bad ones. As an eyewitness at Kendal there were many encouraging signs compared with many of the previous games. Nigel will be building on these and we must give him the support to do that. It will take time but we’ve only got to finish 5th bottom and we’re not far off that. Be optimistic. Eastwood have got a massive game the week after they play us. Any Unibond player must have that on their mind when playing us. Be positive. Don’t criticise supporters who couldn’t make a long distance midweek trip but rejoice in the number who did. Life is not easy for Witton supporters at the present but the key word is support which is a positive action. It will get better but don’t forget, patience is a virtue. More than Keep the Faith, keep a PMA, Positive Mental Attitude. Up The Albion! ---
