The reporter’s name is appropriate
Just come off their forum having read the proposal to pull them out of the proverbial.
All very impressive, but I hope they will learn to spell and punctuate when drawing up all those legal documents and funds. Just a sample:
forun, Maccelsfield, Suopporters Club, totaly intergrated (my favourite!), beggining, elieviate - not to mention the “discusions” that have taken place with “parters” about “buildins” being “concidered”
No I’m not a school teacher, just had some spare time!
Read it, it’s hilarious in more ways than one
Sorry guys but I still don’t get it though I think CJ is getting close ,must have been a rehabilitating holiday ! Agree entirely that VIcs would have to pay maybe even up front but the money making opportunity can’t be ignored particularly when funding/sponsorship is so hard to come across.Of course the upper hand would lie with the Albs as ground holders and effectively landlords and as for being top team in the town ,that title has to be earned on the pitch .Holding all the cards and resources though should make the latter straightforward enough.Remember also the words of Sun Tzu -“keep your friends close but your enemies even closer”…
Problem is they don’t pay there bills! All well and good saying let them play as it will generate extra revenue. But we would have to provide security of tenure. They can’t afford to pay upfront so would obviously default on payments, it’s what they do history doesn’t lie. It would be great to get £3000 a game from them. Is £3000 fair? Yes location location location. But I think our board has done the right thing. V**** fans are only just realising what Rushe is like and that’s certainly someone you don’t do business with.
Fair point but deal to be done somewhere !
All very good in theory.
But who is going to prepare the pitch before their games? Sweep the terraces after them? Clean the home and away dressing rooms? Clean the toilets? Remove the graffiti? Repair the damage? Open up for them and close up after them? And chase them for the payments that would always be late?
We can’t keep asking the same volunteers to keep giving their time up for free.
And i’m also inclined to think that we haven’t spent all these years cutting our cloth and working to drag ourselves back from the brink time after time, just to bail them out after all their years of doing what the hell they like (with other people’s money).
It isn’t as simple as them turning up on a Saturday, playing their game, and then everything is ready and waiting for Witton to turn up and play the week after. It takes hours and hours of work to put one game a week on, let alone two.
Sorry, they dug the hole let them dig their way out. However if the Supporters Trust took over then that might, and I emphasise MIGHT make a difference.
WHS.
Never said there wouldn’t be commitments but maybe they can be catered for since there would be some money coming in to pay those very deserving volunteers .
If I know the lads who work at Witton they will not want to be paid to help out Vics!! Our volunteers are the salt of the earth and I am VERY proud of each and every one of them.

It’s not just the financial aspect it’s time. We on average have one game every two weeks. If it was a game a week down at the HFH then people would be expected to put in double the shift.
I couldn’t do that and I doubt many could, would or want to
Amazing to see how much bull crap is being fed to supporters.
Well,the motto could be
Excreta tauri vincit mundi*
*rough translation.
Is it just me that is a little annoyed by the comments in todays guardian - people knowing whats best for our club and about how much money we would make etc? Do they know the accounts better than the directors and the board? Should we just throw away our morales and principles and (I hope) respect gained over the years by local businesses? Should people not be proud to have an honest, volunteer, supporter run club in the town who causes no one any problems and makes news for the right reasons?
God Neil, some bloody common sense at last! It seems the Guardian are only interested in us when it effects Vics. We are not related to Vics, we don’t care if they go out of business so please councillors stop talking as if we should. You let our cinema die, let Vics die too and please don’t even think of using the ratepayers money to bale them out. Some idiot compared Vics to Chester saying CWAC had helped them out, Chester are the ONLY team in Chester, Vics are NOT the only team in Northwich, they will be missed by few, thousands miss our cinema!! I promise on my honour to say nothing more on this subject, I will only talk about our wonderful club from now on and watch silently from the sidelines as the opposition slowly expire as they fully deserve to do.
