Witton Albion have been drawn at home to Northwich Villa, in the Quarter Finals of the Mid-Cheshire District FA Senior Cup. The date is still to be arranged.
Apparently, the club was renamed Northwich Manchester Villa in the summer of 2015. They’ve replaced the word Flixton with Manchester.
A good draw that !
Great draw, I assume this will be all ticket?
I’ve heard their ground is on the Etihad campus (near to Man City’s stadium)! If that is correct why are they in the Mid-Cheshire Cup? :silly:
Andy Simpson has made exactly that point. A club that doesn’t play anywhere near the area is allowed to compete and yet the current Mid Cheshire FA Challenge Cup holders, Lostock Gralam are not involved.
Well I’m with Mr Simpson here, what on earth are the Cheshire FA thinking of?? This abomination of a team still laughably using the word Northwich in their name is just a Rushe fall back for when our slimy tenents go belly up (when they don’t pay the rent).
Must be because of their big following. Average home league attendance of 22 last season, maybe we shouldn’t order any extra pies for this game.
The tie is to be played before October 31st.
Just proves what I have come to believe, Football at all levels is run by idiots and fools. (No penalty for Mackay for instance and Blatter still in charge.)
WHS.
