It may have helped if the manager had put out his best 11, think when you mess about then that mindset drifts into the players and you get that type of performance, also a bit worried about Titch limping off and Rob Hopley limping at the end ?
Firstly all credit to the Millers team, they didn,t give Witton an easy ride at all. Our keeper was unlucky, saving the pen only to see them score the rebound. Secondly credit to the Witton FANS, who didn,t give the two blokes in the burger hut an easy ride. I would think they took more cash than most branches of Mc donalds have today. Only difference between coming away with a point or none was Rob Hopley.
the only thing that cost us 3 pts was the left back or lack of one
Sorry vi8, not in facebook so link won’t show me what i’m sure are artistic masterpieces of cinematography.
Apart from the result yesterday we had a great day, New Mills are a great Club and made the large Witton following very welcome.
The lady on the turnstiles ran to the bar once we were all inside the ground and helped out the poor girl who was struggling to cope with a coach load of thirsty Witton fans.
The 2 old blokes in the Tea hut were brilliant and the food was quality ( bacon, Sausages, Spam and eggs were on the menu as well as Burgers and Chips )
The New Mills Chairman thanked us for coming as we left the bar at 5 30 no doubt delighted with the takings which apart from a lot of beer also included a couple of bottles of Champagne to celebrate Scotts Stag doo and even a blackcurrant fruit shoot for Gazza!
Just a shame we let a 2 goal lead slip but credit to New Mills there players battled hard although im pretty sure we should of had a 90th min Penalty!
Yes was a clear penalty on King in the box, and He got booked for diving to justify the refs wrong decision lol
Absolutely right Matt Cat about the food .It was fresh, locally sourced and tasty .No pies though . Ha.
