Great to see “Sid” Stott back again. Should give us a bit more strength in depth in the striking Dept and insurance too as we rely heavily on Titch and if he got injured then it could be dodgy.
For the future, Tom Denton playing for Mossley impressed me but appreciate we can’t just go out and sign him. Who knows though he could be a free agent at the end of the season and he’s tall and big (one for the future perhaps!!
I see we have signed another youngster, Tom Wakefield, only 18 and a striker! It shows the management’s commitment to youth and attacking football.

wheres this lad from ? anyone have any info on him one for next season i guess
According to a good source of mine at Nantwich, he didn’t get much playing time for them but scored a fair few for Eccleshall in the NW Counties.
We would have needed 2 huge strikers to have a chance in the air against Bamber Bridge ! Can some one remind me how tall Messi is or Rooney for that matter ? With a squad of players all comfortable on the bal (even Coops!) why lump it ?
There is nothing wrong with lumping it, so long as we win more than our fair share of the second ball, which we are doing at the moment. The second ball is far more important than the first as it helps make a spring board for our attacks.
Thatched Tavern, now we ARE GETTING TECHNICAL!!!
