Newcastle Town vs Witton Albion

Witton make the relatively short trip to Newcastle Town on Tuesday evening in an Evo-Stik Division One South fixture. Town have begun the season well but have played the majority of their league games at home, six out of eight. Witton will be hoping to get their season back on track following successive defeats, albeit one being in the Emirates FA Cup. Saturday’s reverse at Carlton was a surprise but, it shows what can happen if a team doesn’t perform to their normal levels. That’s now gone and Witton have to set about tackling one of the other form teams . The fixture represents the first meeting between Witton and former manager Scott Dundas since his departure from The NetDec Stadium, and also gives Albion the opportunity to meet up with former players as a number of the squad who joined Witton, have now found their way to Newcastle. Witton will be looking to keep the pressure on the the top clubs but this won’t be any easy game by any means. Kick off at The Lyme Valley Stadium is 7.45pm.

Confirmed 7.45pm

This is sure to be an interesting match. I think Scott Sunday and his team will be looking to prove a point. Whilst they are on a roll we are coming off the back of 2 losses.

Sorry, I was referring to the match on Saturday as this was on pre match chat! Just my age!!
