Couldn’t make it on Saturday but just responding to a previous post which said that the pitch was a disgrace. How many times have we heard that this season? It further re enforces my arguement for gradings / licence to play in certain leagues(abit like Super League do). There are lots of really nice grounds in the North West Counties far superior to some of those in our league. (Padium/ Congleton/Ramsbottom to name afew) A grading system might soon direct their thoughts into producing better facilites rather than paying over the odds for players!!!
There are indeed some shocking pitches in our league.
There appears to be little or no enforcement of the National Ground Grading rules.
This is the passage on pitches from the Category D (NLS Step4) on the FA website:
1.8 Pitch Standards
The playing surface must be grass, unless otherwise authorised by the respective Board of Directors
or Management Committee, and must be of the highest possible standard. It must be level and free
from surface depressions and excessive undulations.
The maximum slope allowable shall not exceed an even gradient of vertical to horizontal 1: 41 in any
direction. NB When a new pitch is being developed or significant improvements made to a pitch, the
gradient of 1:41 would not be acceptable and the pitch must be constructed with reference to the FA
Performance Quality Standard.
The playing surface must be maintained to the highest possible standards.

It’s a testament to our boys that we can win ugly on a poor pitch.
We have a better points per game average away from home.
cracking result to be honest I would take any win at this stage of the season, well done to all it sounds like a real battle
