I think the lack of activity on the forum today following the news that Scott has left the club is a true indication as to how fans feel at the moment…totally fed up
I think this article summed it up for me http://www.northwichguardian.co.uk/sport/witton/13944214.Macauley__fighting_hard__to_recruit/?ref=rss “only going to recruit players that improve the squad” he then signed Rodden
Forward Liam Davies, has returned to parent-club Tranmere Rovers following his loan spell.
The departure of Lycett is possibly the most concerning of all. local lad, guaranteed starter in a position that we’re particularly light, no doubt on a decent wage and he still didn’t want to stay… Pretty damning.
Jonny - absolutely agree with your post above.
Things are desperate at the moment and more quality is going out than coming in - worrying
So it’s been a fair few weeks since the new man came in. And we are going backwards still. A stuttered performance over an under strength Burscough and a win over Northwich Villa aka dog and duck do not fool me I’m afraid.
I guess 4.45 today we’ll have a better idea as a win may do wonders. Even a draw would do right now!!!
As for Lycett, well that just may be the icing on the cake
Only seen him play once at Crewe - was one of the players I was not impressed with attitude wise - seem to be doing ok at Trafford so far without him.
Is there any news on the Rob Hopley signing. Social media and press reports say Rob is joining us but he was not on this mornings Evostik transfers.
Still nothing confirmed yet.
Still no news of Rob Hopley signing? Starting to think this isn’t happening.

Says it all when a local lad on a decent wage would rather travel to brum for a game of football
Worrying times
Heard Scott had a very good offer from Sutton and it was His old club

Wonder if you’ll have the same attitude when we’re playing in the NWCL
Maybe you should be asking the management /board why we can’t hold onto our better players or don’t you care about that either
speak to the board members at most games. you get quite a lot of info that way. Cant force players to play for us, we could go down the Vics route and pay over the odds for team of players who are good enough for conference football, and sod the expense… I do care about that. I will have the same attitude wherever we play, I support Witton through good times and bad, as it has been for 50 years for me.
