I wish John well with his future career, he showed promise in some games for us, however the quality and strength of Macca, Lloyd, Peers, Brodie and now Brown back in midfield (not to mention Craven) means he was unlikely to make the first team! Personally I feel that John lacked a little bit of grit in the middle and he will only get that by playing week in week out, but we are not in a position to field him in the side whilst he continues to learn his trade.
Good luck to him though, hope the lad does well in the future.
I agree rabbit he looks like he will be a good player but just at the moment he is not going to get in before the regulars, maybe in the future we will be in a position to keep these players in a reserve team.
One that looked good in pre-season, but never really got to grips with football at this level. Obviously got ability, but at this moment in time he isn’t going to get into Witton’s team.
He’s a young lad though, and i’m sure he’ll be a different player in a few years.
