Railway v Albion

Pitch inspection around 9ish tomorrow morning.

fingers crossed!

Gorgeous day today up here in sunny Yorkshire! Bit cold but above freezing. Will be nippy tonight. 9am may be a bit early for a pitch inspection don’t you think? A slight overnight frost may make the pitch unplayable at 9am but with another potential 6 hours sunshine?

Any road up - the Otley Supporters Club will be out in full force. Lunchtime in Harrogate and then on to the match. I understand the pubs near the ground aren’t up to much?

COTA!

The ground is in Starbeck which is the ar*e end of Harrogate.

My local weather reporter reported frost overnight last night and snow forecast for tomorrow pm. :frowning:

The beeb seem to agree http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2647428

Agree about delaying the inspection. At least their pitch won’t be in the shade of any impressive stands. Hopefully the side to side slope is south facing.

The coach needs to be cancelled before 09:30 so as not to incur any costs, hence the early inspection. The referee making the inspection must take into account not only the state of the pitch at the time, but also what the weather forecasts predict. (e.g. the referee on Wednesday for the Prescot game said that when he performed his inspection at 15:30, the pitch was playable, but taking the forecast into consideration, he called it off).

Thanks for the info., it makes good sense re costs.

Sunshine forecast for 9am so here’s hoping!

Game off I BELIEVE but plz all just double check. SBL

Says OFF on evostick website :frowning:

and twitter and our official website…

GAME IS OFF

I can watch the Rugby with a clear conscience now! Long trip in mid week now which is not great news.
WHS.

All games in our league, apart from Durham v Mossley, are postponed. Woodley v Curzon has now been called off due to snow.

Would the 6 hours of sunshine have made a difference?

Well my central heating condensate pipe is still frozen so “No” I don’t think it would!
