Witton Substitution:

Four goals in three games on the run, shades of the late ‘70s! ‘Henderson is magic’ anyone?

Albion’s third win in a row but they stay eleventh in the table.

They are next in action on Saturday, 10th January when they welcome league leaders Lower Breck to the U Lock It Stadium for a 3pm kick off.

Stunning was the word I came to following our 5-0 win!

We were at it from the start to the last whistle driven by Bairstow and Edwards energy and creative play, Runcorn could not handle our breaks!

I Thought the 3 strikers were great, loads of effort and skill on show with Freddy Garbutt taking the praise for his hat-trick and Joe Duckworth having his best game for some time.

The back 5 were superb with Ebhote being my star pick handled the threat of the front 2 so well but they all played very well.

If You haven’t been coming to games then get down, give them a chance they are playing very well just now with plenty of goals and action. UTA

The biggest disappointment for me is now having to wait nine days for the next game.

I know it’s unavoidable and it affects everyone but when you’re playing like this you want to maintain the momentum and players don’t want to be sitting twiddling their thumbs.

Training continues but it’s no substitute for competitive games.

I agree with CJ’s comments, great display from the whole team.

Couple of great saves from Cam Terry to keep a clean sheet too.

Our best performance of the season 13 goals in 3 games is outstanding the whole team seam to be gelling now bursting with confidence the new right back is fantastic solid defensively and has pace to go forward every player deserves M O M Runcorn could not handle Freddy he deserved his hat trick we need to keep him for next season well done Witton :+1:

Yes I agree, having a decent Right Back has made a noticable difference to the team. I’ts frustrating that that he had to wait for 4 weeks before he could play for us due to the regulations governing transfers between Wales and England.

Also agree that Freddy is back to his best after his nasty facial injury a while back and fully justifying the decision to put him on a contract.

Just need to hope we can extend Alfie’s loan from Salford until the end of the season.

Just seen that Runcorn’s manager has resigned, despite them being 6th in the league.

Best performance i’ve seen of any side at this level and nice to see some consistency in the side

Some negative news however I am hearing rumours from a valuable source that a National League North side has made a bid for both Freddy Garbutt & Joe Duckworth this afternoon, both have 14 goals to there name this season to date.

Runcorn have already appointed former manager Michael Ellison who left Linnets for City of Liverpool, then took Widnes to the title last season.

Freddy Garbutt is now on 15 goals, Joe Duckworth 14 and Tom Hoyle 9.
