Rushall

Is this the case of good old witton again?
If only there was a main road that was clear that allows transport between the 2 areas…

Wouldn’t have thought so! Haven’t you seen all the fixtures except off except FC? Midlands have been hit really hard! Prob good thing as injured players will have chance to recover!

There are live photos of the M6 on Facebook and it’s clear. And with no snow here it’s disappointing they havent found a way to get here. We’d all be on the bus now if it was at their place.

I wouldn’t mind so much if there was a Premier League programme to follow :frowning:

According to Rushall they were instructed by the Evostick Prem secretary not to travel, Witton had told them the pitch was playable and as i have their kit man as a friend on Facebook i know he left his home to board the players coach.

It does seem a bit OTT to call off games so early as Rushall would of been on the M6 in a matter of minutes and the M6 is clear! i see Tamworth have made it to Luton today by some miracle bowdown

How can it be witton’s fault? We were ready to play

Not WAFC fault, and No it’s" not good old Witton" it’s league policy, Some postings mainly on twitter are becoming more than an irritant to board members,
Step forward replacements, I am sure you can do better,

Oh thanks to Dave Neil who helped out today, every other person that would have attended todays match was too busy to help work at the club, glad the game was off as the attendance would have been about 20 or so because everyone was so busy

this would not have happened 20 years ago for sure!

dont blame Witton, dont bame the league…blame the lawyers who over the past thirty years have fueled this compensation culture we live in today where apparently individuals are incapable of making decisions for themselves such as ‘is it safe to travel’. If someone who lived up a mountain, 30 'inches deep in snow and had tried to trave to the game in a smart car and subsequently crashed, it would not have been their own fault!

According to the legal profession it would have been the league or someone elses fault for not postponing the game.

So thank them because they have ruined life for everybody whilst lining their greedy pockets.

I actually wasn’t surprised the game was off yesterday given the forecast and seeing other parts of the country, once again we were lucky (or unlucky whichever way you look at it!) not to get hit by the snow. I do agree with WWW though in that the game probably wouldn’t have been called off 20/30 years ago, coupled with the blame culture he refers to (why do we follow everything in the US?) there are also the overkill health and safety laws that we all have to abide by nowadays mooney . I can see games like the one yesterday being called off more regulalry in the future, unfortunately this is the world in which we now live. Anyway, lets move on we’ll take the points off them when they do come. UTA

Sorry I didn’t phrase that properly not implying it was our fault at all. Maybe we should have insisted the game remained on? Couple of years ago it was -12 we had snow yet I still managed to drive 12 miles (not on main and treated roads to get to work) you just set off earlier and drive appropriately to the conditions.

Some rod Stewart would be good :clap

Nowt wrong with bro ski beat lol or a bit of David Essex and I love simply red
