Skelmersdale United vs Witton Albion

Yes we won 3-1 :clap

can we still make play off’s

Attendance: 201.

Unbelievable result well done lads! Well happy

Fantastic win and surely another one coming this Saturday against Droylsden who have not won all season (Thats jinxed us  )

Tuesday nights game has got tastier after tonight’s results as FCUM are now just 3 points off the top and although it clashes with the Manchester derby there seems to be a wave of belief amongst FC fans that this is their year and with Man Utd being so poor im sure a large following is guaranteed.

Skem had won 16 out of 18 home game’s which makes tonight’s win even more impressive!

Tonight’s result all but relegates Stocksbridge. They can still amass 45 points but their inferior goal difference means they can’t finish outside the bottom four. Very interesting at the top, four points separating the top five clubs and on Saturday it’s, Skem vs FC United.

A superb performance from all the lads tonight. We missed a very good chance at 1-0 too so the scoreline didn’t flatter us.

Every player deserves praise for it but Gards stood out for me in centre mid. A colussus tonight. Well in Gards.

Bakkor looked fantastic too. Developing a nice little partnership with Titch that hopefully floursihes for the rest of the season.

UTA!

Really pleased for Scott, he’s shown in the last few games what he’s capable of producing and maybe the goals will start to come for him now.

brilliant result. well done to the players for a superb performance. we can build on this for next season after a bit of a harrowing time of late. we are on a good run, which we have threatened to do on several occaisi :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap ons but it just did not happen. i’ve said all along that we have a good group of players, we just needed to get the results to give the lads the confidence. well with hard work from the players and pritch and mose etc this is now paying off. so come on all you witton fans come on down and cheer the lads on for the remainder of the season, starting with droylsden away on saturday, followed by fc united on tuesday, which is usually an entertaining game. the l;ads have worked hard for the good run they have put together, so let’s show our appreciation for their performances. :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :goal :goal

Amazing result tonight and a brilliant performance. All the lads gave 100% and got just what they deserved.
The 20 or so of us made so much more Noise than the “home” fans, even Scott bakkor was laughing at the zigga zaggas.
Very proud wittoner tonight keep it up boys!

A great performance from everyone, for me Powell was MoM thought he bossed the midfield, a win Saturday and we are on the way to mid table :goal

I know we have has awful officials of late, but I must say those last night were fantastic best I have seen all season.

Roll on Saturday

Out of the bottom four 10 days ahead of my schedule, well done Pritch, Mike and the lads, keep going and keep this team together and who knows where it will lead. Working at Weaver Hall Museum on Saturday but I will be at the FC United game.

Win our games in hand and we would be in 15th!!!
WHS. :clap :clap :clap :clap

What a brilliant performance! As complete a display as i have seen in all of Pritch’s time as manager.

The game plan was absolutely spot on, even when they changed to 3 at the back we adjusted our tactics accordingly, and didn’t let their centrebacks have any time on the ball.

Even when they scored it didnt really feel like we were in any danger.

Yes, it was an erorr by Coops for their goal, but for the rest of the evening he was outstanding and dominant. That’s more like the Coops we have been used to seeing.

MoM for me would bea toss-up between Gards and Bakkor - both 9/10 performances. I would be inclined to just edge it towards Bakkor for his goal, and the fact that he could barely breath by fulltime but was still chasing every ball!

As mentioned elsewhere, powell was also fantastic - as were the back 4.

Would disagree with the officials being the best we’ve seen this season, some of their decisions were baffling. I thought last Saturday’s ref was better in all honesty.

Droylsden now becomes an opportunity to build on the recent hard work. We can’t afford another Stafford showing, but i’m sure Pritch will remind the team of that.

It feels so good to be out of that bottom 4 at last!

:clap :clap :clap :clap :clap bowdown bowdown bowdown :clap :clap :clap

Fab result. I’m so pleased for all those who made the trip. I couldn’t make it but can’t wait for Saturday. Any details about the goals would be appreciated.

The first goal by Powell in my opinion would be in the top 5 for goal of the season, ball broke loose bouncing about maybe 25 yards out and caught on the half volley left foot, keeper stood no chance

Well done to Pritch and the team on this immense result and performance. Fantastic run of 3 wins on the bounce, mustn’t take anything for granted on Saturday at Droylesden, just need to be professional and continue the support for ‘The Great Escape’!!!

Great performance from everybody. Skem fans were telling me that we were the best team they had seen all season!

My MOM was Cliff Moyo, closely followed by Rob Bodie, but to be honest, all players, staff and supporters deserved MOM awards.

I thought the referee had a reasonable game, except that he could have done more talking, and less use of the yellow cards. This was in no way a dirty game, but a game played with the full commitment of 2 teams with a lot at stake.

I must admit I was getting very nervous at the end when we went up to 5 bookings…one more, and we would have been in for a very hefty fine from the FA.

Let’s hope that any match bans don’t impede on the progress that has been made in the team performances now that we are playing on decent football surfaces (Stafford excluded).

I thought Bakkor’s booking was a joke to be honest. a full blooded 50/50 challenge that should’ve resulted in a throw to us, yet inexplicably he got booked. As soon as the yellow card came out their player made a miraculous recovery.

I have never understood why football still does not have the sin bin, makes more sense to punish an offender in the game he offends in rather that it drag on and on until he finally gets a ban. Anyway, another win on Saturday should finally erase any fear of relegation and with Mr. Harris agreeing to stay at wheel it can only mean we will be heading “ONWARDS AND UPWARDS” from now on.
