SPORTS TRADER 2016 KIT AMNESTY

Dave Watters has been communicating to all member clubs re the Sports Traider Charity which the NPL is supporting.

Although reminders have been sent, indications are that some clubs have done very little to promote the collection of unwanted kit.

The NPL Board appreciate it has been a long and difficult season for all member clubs with a more than normal challenge when trying to cope with the weather.

All that I ask is that from now until the end of the season you do whatever you can possibly do to at least fill one black refuse sack to donate to ST.

I am sure you have picked up but ST have been supportive to young players within our own Academy project by providing kit bursaries for any student who has come from an underprivileged background. This has been done without the knowledge of any other student at their club. The continued bursaries into next season will obviously be linked to the amount of unwanted kit of ANY sports we can send back to ST. So please fill that bag at least.

Information re the collection process of the donated sports kit will be sent out by Dave Watters in due course.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi everyone in the First Division North,

Hope you are all very well. The Sports Traider Easter Amnesty is almost upon us and a quick update for you following a number of queries from clubs.

First off, if you have already filled your dedicated branded bins, please feel free to keep on collecting by emptying and storying the proceeds so far. As you know we are hoping for a record breaking collection this season and every item will count!

Secondly and as importantly, arrangements for collecting the donations from clubs are currently being made and will be forwarded on to you when confirmed by the league and charity in the coming days.

Thank you all again for the great response so far for our official charity partner. To help with any last minute publicity pushes this weekend at your home games the advert that was specially made up for your programmes and websites and was sent previously is attached again. There is also an editorial story that can be updated and the charity’s logo in case you need it.

Finally, any pictures that you can take and send in to me from this weekend will be hugely appreciated by the charity as well as the league. As always, if anyone has any queries please feel to contact me this week.

Best wishes and thanks as always,

Dave Watters

Please could supporters attending the Fans Meeting in the Social Club tomorrow night (Thursday), bring with them any kit or sportswear that they have no further use for and it would be much appreciated.
