I know everybody says and Titch mentioned it in the Guardian, but I believe and I would be willing to put anything on that we are to good to go down, we will stay up, Nantwich Tuesday and 3 points will make a big difference plus we still have Walker to come back!
See you all on Tuesday when a win is a MUST!
WHS.
Whilst everyone has and should be positive there is a need for a reality check here - yes we have some good players and yes we have a committed and loyal fanbase and management team but the fact is unless we can score 3 goals we ain’t gonna win any football games and the game at this stage of the season is all about WINNING.
We’ve celebrated a nil nil draw at Frickley a few weeks ago-poor result imo, the players were given an ovation on the coach for their efforts in losing at Blyth, we lauded them for how they played at home against Worksop where diabolical officials apart they still contrived to throw away 2 points.
Yesterday from an impartial observer we were second best for most of the game.
The reality check is that now is time for ‘The Great Escape’ we can only realistically look at catching 2 other teams (a few weeks ago there were 5 or 6 we could have caught) also a look at Frickley and Barwells fixtures shows that they have a reasonable run in whereas you could argue our games in hand are at Chorley and Skem!
It is in our hands but time is running out and nothing other than a win on Tuesday will suffice.

Having just got back from staying over in Lincoln, I agree with Andy. The performance was ,pretty disjointed, with nothing much being created by midfield. Titch hit the past twice, I think and just needs one to go in. He’s certainly improved in the air and sent one of theirs sprawling with a barge. Maybe the pace is not there yet, or it’s just a confidence thing and he’s not making the runs. I think we should know on Tuesday, he must be up to match fitness soon. Nice to see Sheehan battling back, but he looks like he’s favouring one leg to me and I hope he doesn’t do himself more damage. Coops made another “rash dash” and could easily have been sent off. Apparently he did this at Blyth so he needs some mentoring.
Nantwich will not be easy despite their loss yesterday as our confidence is low. I do wish we could start better, it was the same old story at Stamford - caught cold right from the off.
Yes, it looks like all but 2 others may be out of our reach, so 3 points will at least keep us in the mix. No more talk about too good to go down please. We have barely been too good for anyone this season - look at the results.
Could be worse, we could have Soldado instead of Titch!!

The Evo-Stik website says our goalscorer was Jonathan Breeze.
Quote “I think we have all known for a while now that we are in a dog-fight. Fortunately we aren’t cut adrift yet, and there are clearly some poor teams in this league (unfortunately we don’t seem to be playing them recently!).”
We are one of these poor teams lets face it.
You really COULD NOT make this up, the euphoria of promotion with that wonderful wonderful day at Curzon Ashton, the play offs IN THIS LEAGUE last season and now a desperate scrap against relegation!!
Any talk by anyone that we are “too good to go down” is total bollox, WE ARE IN THE MIRE, WE COULD WELL GO DOWN!!
However if Titch sets alight, if Dave Walker comes back, if we stick together WE JUST MIGHT NOT!!!
COME ON THE ALBIOOOOOOON!!!
If we stay up then great,if we go down then so be it. As long as theres witton albion I don’t care what league we happen to be in.
There will always be the passion there which imo makes our fans and witton in general the best club around at this level.
WE ARE ALBION!!!
