Trafford FC vs Witton Albion

You’re starting to sound like Rafa!!!

It is clear to see that we need good players with good game intelligence.

If you look at the game, first half we had something like a starting 11 out. We had a few decent chances and passed the ball around nicely. 0-0 at half time was a bit harsh on our performance i think. Second half we made a quite a few changes and a lot of younger trialist players came on and we lost our shape and discipline on the ball. But thats what friendlies are all about, having a look!

I liked the look of the number 6 we had on in the first half, any1 know anything about him?

i think we just need somebody who can put the ball in the net. But we all know how difficult that can be!

Don’t forget though, that at this stage of last season we had yet to sign Thornley, Macca, and Coo. The season before, and we were yet to sign Warlow.

There’s still plenty of time for things to change.

I remember a few years ago now, Darrren Washington was crap in pre-season and how many goals did he go on and score that season? You never know the ‘goalscorer’ may already be in the team?!

Yeah exactly. Let’s not worry too much just yet.

Everyone said what great fans we had last season when we were winning games, let’s see if we can earn the same praise when we aren’t doing so well.

Albion’s impressive No 6 last night was Steve Smith. he was at Warrington last season see link: http://www.warringtontownfc.co.uk/1stteam/theteam.pl?player=566044

Zane Golbourne was recommended to the club by former manager Mike MacKenzie

Danny Swartz has been with Walsall and Nathan MacDonald, who played up front the 2nd half, has been with Stoke City.

Happy to help but I hasten to add though that none of these players have yet to be registered.

As I said, the start of the season is going to be tough for what will effectively be a totally new team. Give the Manager time and don’t expect miracles, they will come later!!
