How can any Bookmaker still have Telford as favouties/ They may not make the playoffs unless they start to win soon. In my humble opinion, having studied the run ins, it should be 6/4 Witton and Burscough, 3-1 Telford, 8-1 Matlock and the rest any price you like.

Dear Stu. As someone who worked in a Betting Shop for five years I can explain the 100/30. It dates from the time when the only legal betting was on the course and bets of ?100 or more were common place; hence, 100/7, 100/8, 100/9 etc. However, I have no idea where 11/8 or 8/11 came from, there were 12 pence in an old shilling and 20 shillings in an old pound so it appears to make no sense at all. By the way all Bookmakers kids arestill taught to add in this way, "Evens, 6/4, 2-1, 5-2, 3-1, 7-2, 4-1, 9-2, 5-1, 11-2, 6-1, 13-2, 7-1, 15-2, 8-1, 17-2, 9-1, add infinitum". There is some talk now we are to have super casinoes that all children will be offered this method of learning in Primary Schools.

Well it appears that even after the Easter programme, the bookies still have faith in the Albion winning the title.
