Despite playing well below our best we just about earned the point. Vauxhall were sharper more physical and more direct, Witton had too many players off their game.
It reminded me of the away friendly at Winsford very windy, poor pitch and we didn’t cope again. But an away point will do.

VM are atypical Liverpool team - what they lack in skill they more than make up for with grit and determination, so was never going to be an easy game and that just how it turned out.
We got caught cold at the start of each half but then played some good football interlaced with some not so clever passing and play.
So a good goal not given and two penalties earns us a point.
On a blustery afternoon when it could have been far worse at least we are up and running.
Oh and the referee really had a shocker for both teams, but not giving the goal was schoolboy stuff.
Totally agree Roger that the ref had a shocker, but to be fair to him on Ben’s header his assistant let him down badly.
