Vs marine

Only two teams in the league have scored fewer goals than us and they occupy the bottom two places in the table.

says it all…

we had fozzie, stott and tucky.all released for one reason or another.have loads of respect for pricth but if he and the club dont get a goal scorer soon that play off win at curzon is just another piece of witton history bangwall

Stotty - released due to budget
Foster - released due to budget
Tuck - released as he broke the clubs code of conduct

:if someone slagged your dead mum and dad off you’d break the club code of conduct.as for fozzie it was fitness not budget. mooney

I don’t think I’d commit offences and then not heed warnings once the club had decided to stand by me. However perhaps I have some sense and listen to the advice of others who are trying to help me and not throw it all back in their faces.

And as for Fozzie, he was unfit but the only way to get match fitness is to play matches. To play matches he had to be playing or be on the bench. Financially we couldn’t afford to keep him to allow him to get his fitness up. So it was budget. If money was no issues Fozzie would no doubt still be here. Not exactly banging them in for Nantwich though is he? So mooney back at you!!!

We will find another Titch, it is clear that is needed quickly however would you sacrifice any other part if the team for one striker?

Its a shame about the strikers we’ve released MAINLY for budget reasons, and its a damn shame Kyle and Nev are both injured. I’m damn sure Pritch and all the team are looking for another Titch, Titches don’t come along that often! Jon Dawson when I’ve seen him is proving to be a great addition. Damn shame about today ANY points now are essential, and three today would have been immense!! Just have to hope we manage to stay up now!

hancock and andrews would always be in starting 11.get shut of a top earning defender(not harrison)cos the only way to win games is to score more goals than the teams your playing.

Ok so which ones are the big earners then? Name who you would sacrifice and who do you think you would get up top for the same money

no one will be working harder than pritch to put things right. he knows what is needed without any armchair fans saying what the problem is. what is needed is for those armchair fans to get down to the h4h stadium, paying their entrance money and cheering the lads on. that way the budget could be incrfeased to get that elusive striker. also the players would respond to the cheering and encouragement of a bigger crowd. so its in our hands to help pritch out. HOW ABOUT YOU WITTON FANS, LET’S DO IT THIS COMING SATURDAY. GET THERE IN NUMBERS AND SHOW YOUR PASSION FOR THE CLUB.

Spot on

Agreed we need every wittoner to pull for the club and most of us will but the fringe supporters will only go when we are playing well so it’s a catch 22 for the club, I think we can sacrifice at least one of our poor strikers and maybe a defender now gards is fit because to be honest you can always pick up a defender if short and a decent striker is hard to come by so you have to pay that bit more for a good one i didn’t mind fossie leaving he was unfit and let himself down, I would have put tuck on transfer list and used him till sold, I think we are all still behind pritch and his team and I hope a bit of good fortune comes his way soon and we get a few good results to take a bit of pressure off UTA

Thing is if we aren’t using the defenders on the whole they ain’t getting paid so it doesn’t do us any harm to have a few on hone books. Paul Alcock is a point in question.

I’m sure we will see some more tinkering until it is right up front.

Shame Rey hasn’t had an impact. He’s highly regarded by some at Hednesford and there was a whole host of clubs after him upon his release. You don’t go from being a proven goalscorer to rubbish overnight, so I’m fairly sure we haven’t seen the best of him. However we haven’t got time to sit around and wait for him to find form, we need a striker who can find the net now!! A new Dave Walker

I see on Facebook, Shaun Tuck is less than happy at Skem. He is not happy about the amount of time he is spending on the bench, especially when a Full Back goes on as sub before him when they were getting beat at Nantwich.

He says he was quick to turn down a move to Northwich Vics, even though they were offering him twice what Skem are paying him (where do they get their money from??).

He says he may not be as quick if another offer comes his way!

Poor little Tucky, loveable little scamp he is…

Heard Asamoah Gyan is leaving Al Ain in the New Year, so maybe they’ll be looking for someone?

Shame as a footballer just what’s needed but he can’t come back now would open wounds that have barely healed yet I’m sure pritch will search elsewhere.

I can assure you Pritch is looking everywhere, the budget is so tight,
it’s nigh on impossible at this level to secure a top goal scorer without silly money being thrown, we have not got that money.
In fact Pritch may have to reduce his budget, simply because we have not enough revenue coming in The current board are not the sort of people to allow us to go the way of Vi%s. ie don’t pay any bills.Maybe the answer is to form another club ie 2014 Albion of Northwich FC
I don’t think so. So please if you can support the club in anyway, don’t forget 125 years of unbroken history.

PS CJ this is not in anyway a go at you i am fully aware that you are a true Wittoner

The drop off in support this season has been quite alarming. Not just through the turnstiles, but also the support for the Witton Development, Matchday Sponsorship and the Social Club events.

I believe the Tuck affair was responsible for a percentage of this decline, but what are the other reasons?

Loosing Tuck, and having to let Fozzie go due to his fitness/finance has been our main problems on the pitch. This has led to a chicken and egg affair. We need finance to replace this pair with the quality we are used to. However, major loss of income means we cannot afford to replace them.

I have been through these type of situations with Witton before, back in the middle 1990’s when we dropped down the leagues from the Conference. Before this downward spiral gathers pace, we need to act NOW! Anybody who claims to be a Wittoner needs to act by:-
a) Attending home games.
b) Supporting Fund Raising Activities (have you bought a XMAS draw ticket yet?).
c) Attending Social Club events organised to raise money for the Development Fund. etc.

Only then will we be able to get players of the like of Dave Walker in to stop this downward spiral.

Sorry for being so negative, but I am very worried about our club at the moment!

I would offer to chuck in £ 20 as a starter but someone would probably slag me off for saying it on here.
