OK who is heading over to sunny Prescot then ? should be a good trip although my memories of Prescot are an awfful swamp like pitch with little grass ! however I suspect we will have grass and be dry but I bet its as bumpy as hell, based on that I will go for another turgid game against gritty opposition but I will go for a 2-1 Witton win. Same team as Saturday but Danny Andrews in for Kyle Diskin barring injuries etc.
Tuesday sees Witton travel the relatively short distance to Valerie Park, to take on Prescot Cables in their opening away league fixture. Witton will be hoping to build on Saturday’s opening day victory over Ossett Albion whilst Cables will looking to put their away reverse at Clitheroe behind them.

What are people’s thoughts on tonight’s game?. I would expect a game that is scrappy at times, difficult to play fluently on a pitch that from memory hasn’t proved to be the best. Might be different with it being early on in the season. I will say a 2-0 win for the Albion, I would expect to see Danny come back in but I wouldn’t think there will be any other changes from last Saturday.
First game for me tonight looking forward to it, awkward pitch but management will know this and have a plan to get the points. Can’t play pretty football at Prescot, route 1 should do it!
Whilst it may not be the best, I think the pitch is the least of our worries.
Prescott are always nothing less than a fully committed, physical team who also know how to play. What they haven’t got in skill they will make up for in effort, wind ups and hard knocks
I would be happy to get away with any win no matter how scruffy the football
