Good performance on a very bouncy tricky pitch, not improved since I played there 45 years ago! I thought the support was fantastic, especially the ‘‘younger’’ ones behind the goal! It was nice to see Carl & the players go over to them at the end. What a good day.

A very strong defensive display by the lads with all the back 5 having great games, midfield worked extremely hard to hold a strong Warrington team at bay so all in all a good point. For me personally, taking Osebi off wasn’t a great move he was a threat to Warrington’s defence with his pace and directness and it was holding them back. I guess it helped us be more defensive which is what Carl wanted as we saw again 11 men back defending, not my idea of football rather see us being more progressive. Our fans were great plenty of noise and atmosphere UTA

Just a quick note on Witton’s 2 centre halves v Warrington on Monday. Josh Wardle & Luke Offord have a combined age of 40 years old, the Warrington striker Tony Gray is 35, they didn’t do a bad job for 2 kids.

Yes Wardle is a warrior and wins most one to one battles and Offord is a class act who will do well in the game, looks very comfortable where ever he plays. UTA
