We are looking at the possibility of doing an older style 40/50/60’s toffs style.
More details to follow but we’d be looking for a deposit for these and an order size up front - let me know if you’re interested.

What about the early 90’s Boddies shirts?!?
This sounds good. Would there be a ladies shirt? - or would I have to do the usual and buy a boys size?
Fantastic idea Neil I will be well up for this, I would prefer the early 50’s shirt this was our most successful period so would be good to rekindle the old magic.
It is Mark Harris’s idea actually , so credit to him for the thoughts.
Good to see people are still reading the website!
Keep the interest coming…
Great idea, I definitely fancy one of these - a proper football shirt, with a collar, and red and white stripes and a club badge and nothing else! Call me old-fashioned, but I can’t stand the poncy apologies for shirts they wear these days - if I’m going to look like a walking advert for something, I want paying for it!
I went to watch Blackpool in the playoff final at Wembley recently, and treated myself to a Toffs 1953 style shirt, in glorious tangerine. Cost me the best part of £50, but it’s good quality, and still good value, since it will last forever, not just till some marketing chappie has a new brainwave!
Not that I’m struggling to come to terms with the 21st century! Or even the latter half of the 20th, come to that!
Seriously, though, you can put me down for one.
Yes please Neil.
Please put me down for an older [40’s 50’s 60’s] and one 80’s [if you are getting them] size medium .
Thanks
cracking idea love it cant wait!! ;D ;D
If we are true to the real old shirts we need to get the old Stoke City shirts, I’ve got a few old pics from the cheshire league when we were holding a trophy or two up wearing a kit with Stokes badge on
While we are on the subject of football strips any chance we could get back to wearing the black shorts instead of the red one’s?? I still can’t get used to the Red shorts to be honest. Sorry if this seems nitpicking but the black shorts, red and white striped shirts, and red socks were the traditional strip for me and we’d look really good with a lpa of honour round Wembley next May after winning the FA trophy as Unibond premier champions!!
Good idea from Mark, Neil and anyone else involved by the way!!
On the subject of the "boddies" shirts, i would be up for one of those, and if i’m not mistaken, they were made by umbro. At the moment umbro make several retro shirts - england world cup shirts, liverpool euro shirts for example, and i’m sure if you approached them with a picture, they would be able to manufacture them…
Brilliant idea Greenie, and one well worth pursuing i would say.
As for the back shorts suggested by Mona, again i am in full agreement with this.
Last year’s kit did look good, but if Liverpool were to randomly change to white or black shorts i would be very disappointed. Therefore, it would be inkeeping with tradition to return to black.
I would also like to see the return of the black shorts - it looked much better that way. Anyone know why we switched to red?
