To be honest when I saw the team it didn’t look right, a left back at right back and dropping Brazel from a settled side was really odd.
His replacement has shown nothing yet, and I would not have dropped Garbutt? It’s worrying now we are not moving forward are we?
The first half was one of the worst performances I have seen at Witton.
Once again we were bullied by Kidsgrove, don’t know why Ben changed the team that has done well recently but it didn’t work.
Second half was better when he brought our better players on, but the damage had been done by then things have to change.
Think Freddie had been ill during the week, so maybe that’s why he was on the bench? Also Bembo Leta was unavailable due to a family bereavement.
Didn’t see all the first half, but what I did see was pretty dire. The only very slight positive was that we managed to score direct from a penalty (after Ben had instructed Edwards to take it rather than Duckworth).
The second half was better, ironically our best spell came when Hoyle and Bairstow were playing as centre backs.
Understand that the new Right Back from Welsh football will finally be available next Saturday. May be a bit ring rusty after not playing for a month, but at least he is actually a Right Back.
Still think we need a stongman in midfield and preferably one that can organise those around him too.
