Disappointed with the result and once again the fans turned up in numbers.
Stalybridge are one of the form teams so it was always going to be tough.
I thought they might have given Kyle King a few minutes with having him in the squad, even if it was a minimal amount.
Disappointing result but not sure why we left it till half time to make changes.
Sotona again was having a nightmare and made hard work of his role and Stalybridge capitalised on our mistakes.
I thought the front 3 played well, should we have scored more yes probably, but again some of the balls Ducky played through not sure he could have done much more.
When we have Ducky and Hoyle playing so wide it makes Garbuttās job harder as heās almost on his own up front.
We have some players wanting to score a wonder goal rather than pass the ball. I have said for the last few weeks when watching that our defence looks shaky and playing against a good team showed that today.
One thing I will say is they all kept working until the end which was good to see.
Worryingly I donāt think we will hold on to some of our better players for the new season as I am not sure we even want to move up a league.
I think some of the directors are ambitious but the trouble is 2 seasons running we have been at the bottom playing poorly, so fans drop off (and donāt come back) and the budget is hard to maintain on our crowds.
We could look at a larger budget if we have a good start and crowds increase.
With Bury and possibly Stalybridge gone, we should be able to compete at the top!
