A very good performance against a tough looking Ashton, we look very competitive and played some nice football still need to get a few signed up but looking good so far back 5 look good and settled and up front looks good, we played a mid field diamond it seemed to work well with the players we used in the right positions.

Look forward to monday now and see if we can keep it going UTA

I think Carl is still sorting through a few players but the backbone of the team seems to be in place. I thought it was a performance that gave lots of reasons to be optimistic for the coming campaign. Another week of friendlies to go and, during this time, we should be seeing what is likely to be our starting 11 come the opening fixture. One thing is sure, we won’t be bullied off the field. This is a side with a bit of steel.

Now “Steel” I like!!

Suffering at the moment with a very bad back but I hope to be there on Monday night.

I was very heartened by today’s performance. At the back we looked very organised our midfield competed well with Ashton and our two front men got a goal each, what’s not to like?
