Witton Albion vs Belper Town

By far the best team I’ve seen play against us this season at witton.
The result is very hard on them, they did deserve at least a point

Belper were ok worked hard, I Thought we deserved the win overall, we were not at out flowing best but this team knows how to battle hard for wins so for me a terrific win 3 points in the bag and hopefully all the players closer to full squad fitness and then we can play at our very best and we need Williams in the middle for that to happen. My MOM Brown who won everything thought the back 4 had a very good night under pressure. UTA

Another game won without playing that well, its a credit to our lads that we’ve done this against teams who have been good against us like Belper and Bedworth COME ON THE ALBIOOON!

Well I think we have had our one and only competent referee last Saturday. This muppet in black tonight was on a par with the Chester referee and how on earth he didn’t give a free kick for the assault on Prince in the last five is beyond me. As for WHS and his observations I think that hat of yours is obstructing your view or maybe you need to take more water with it.

Thanks all for the updates, away with work so couldn’t make the game, otherwise it may have been 205 tonight! I know … I should have my card marked lol, Another goal for Brad, gotta be a shout for player of the season? Defence shouldn’t be underestimated, solid again. Can we hold onto these players and add moving forward? I hope so but we must be attracting attention…

I bit nerve-racking (and wrecking) at times, but overall I think we did just shade it. I think we have to understand that teams like coming to WP. We haven’t lost at home, so the visitors aren’t under any pressure and play with the ambition to be the first team to leave with 3 points this season. I was talking to a couple of their supporters before the game and they thought that Belper had played well recently, but without taking their chances. They thought they might still have chance of playoffs (albeit an outside one). I think that played out last night.

Well done to the team and management. Keep going, keep the momentum and you never know what might happen yet !!!

Rob was offside when the ball was first played in and was cleared by the defender and he clearly tried to win the ball so was offside. He was on side when the ball came straight back and I had a beanie on not my usual big hat!! I stand by my comment about “impartial.”

The only way to possibly describe Him would be to say he was impartial with his incompetence, however most thought he was not a homer and Belper got the best of the decisions, but we can certainly agree he was incompetent.

Would not disagree but I am a great believer in bad decisions leveling themselves out over a season . They are just giving an opinion just like you and me, the only difference being theirs count!! When I was umpiring I made the point that I was not going to be 100% right but I would not be biased to either team but for the duration of the game I was like the wife, NEVER WRONG!!

Another gritty performance got us the 3 points. this team just surpass all expectations of them. They just keep on going and it is a delight to see players with such commitment and we should all applaud them for their great efforts. Every player put in a full shift and more. Long may this team continue to play together. UTA

I thought the GK had a fine game but wondered why a keeper who must be nearly 7 feet tall did not come out for crosses!!
WHS.

He’s not played for quite a while, and having met your team mates an hour before kick off, it may just be having confidence to control the goal mouth. . but yes he did have a good game. :clap

I thought that might be the problem because he is certainly tall enough to dominate an area. Very good cover for our first choice.
