Much needed three points and a confidence booster ahead of Saturday’s huge FA Cup Tie.

A much better performance, high tempo, good shape which suited us and a fully deserved win, well done Scott and the team lets keep it going now and look to strengthen further, thought Titch had one of his better games and the three centre backs were great allowing the wing backs to push on We scored some really good goals as well much more enjoyable. I said win the next two and things will look very different, half the job done.
WHS.

A really good effort from all round the park, playing at a much higher tempo than I have seen us play, and we took some of our chances to get a deserved 3 points. We also didn’t give the ball away as we have in other games.

After quite a lot of criticism on here, the team responded well and delivered a good performance that was enjoyable to watch. Confidence is everything, so if we can take this into the next league game it will stand us in good stead.

Brig weren’t a bad side and had good periods in the game, so overall a really good result for the Albs. Well done to all the team !!

Always fascinated by how many posts we get when we win compared to how many we get when we lose. Are all teams like this or is it just us?
Having witnessed the rubbish dished up by the team against kendal I was surprised but delighted to hear of the goals going in last night.
So what changed? Formation? Personnel? Standard of opponent? Attitude?
Whatever it was, let’s hope the manager and the team are gradually finding the formula that suits the playing staff

Much much better first half performance from the lads , dropped off second half but the game was won by then.

my views havent changed over the last few weeks regarding midfield though, Saturday was a terrible start and that was because we are playing people out of position. last night was better but saying that they lacked any ambition.i know from his Knutsford days that Dean Warburton is a known centre midfielder and can do a better job than the players that have been playing in there with the exception to Roberts who is a top player. Kyle Diskin has had good moments but not the answer.

I dont think Darren Chadwick lost a header last night , with Titch Danny and Gards doing well its looking better. Baker needs to step up to the plate now after a few poor performances.

still need to add a few, really dont know our best starting 11 …???

Last night’s match was much improved, it’s no good criticising the player’s / management we need to get behind them and support them.

Gary Roberts is a great player but you can’t compare him to the other lads, he’s been a professional footballer for many years, so it’s obvious he’s going to stand out.

Why weren’t Cropper or Mills in the starting line up?

Good win and probably our best win of the season as they were in 6th.

ADwarvesdinner Welcome to the forum, I’m guessing this is your first season with us?

Criticism will happen especially after the way they have performed. Look at the drop in attendances, there is a reason for that.

Expectations are a lot higher here than some players and back room staff maybe used to. They need to step up and hit that mark consistently.

Thank you for the welcome Woody.

Its not my first season I watched about half a dozen matches last season but I can’t always get due to other commitments unfortunately, I’m not much of a one for Internet forums as they’re usually quite critical and I’m a glass half full type of person

Maybe you have high expectations and there’s nothing wrong in wanting to succeed but high levels of criticism don’t do anyone any favours at the end of the day. The team are still bonding and getting to know one another and their style of play and I’m sure they turn up each match wanting to play their best and win. But we’re not Real Madrid so we have to realistic here.

As for attendances there could be any number of reasons, and midweek matches are less well attended than sat matches. Someone was complaining about attendance on Sat but I read it was the 2nd highest gate in the division so I can’t see how folk can complain

Anyway I’m hoping to get to a few more matches this season and I remain hopeful

Hi Welcome too, I think because we have had 2-3 bad seasons we are glass half empty ! expectations are high and we are definitely at least one division below where we should be based on facility and wage budget etc so frustration is well set in to start with and finally a lot see issue with some of the selections this season and we knew we could do better, last night was decent so we all hope we can now keep settled and move onwards and upwards. UTA

A much better performance and 3 much needed points. let’s hope this gives the players confidence for Saturdays FA cup match. They should go into the game with high expectations and give it all they have, after all the have got nothing to lose and could just pull it off. It looks like we will have a fair few fans there, who I am sure will get behind them, cos us Witton fans are hungry for a good cup run. Good luck boys.

Exactly they have nothing to lose so let’s hope for a great game tomorrow and an even greater result. I believe they have lost their last 2 matches and they probably have the attitude that a team 2 leagues lower is gonna be a walk in the park. But the magic of the FA cup is very much alive and kicking

I can’t wait until tomorrow. I’ve got a sneaky feeling we might pinch it but as long as the whole team give it their all I won’t complain.

COME ON WITTON
