Looking forward to seeing the " New Albion " for the first time this season. Reading posts on here so far it looks as though we are strong at the back but could well be struggling to score goals. Past experience of Mr Ogden will show that he will not tolerate that for long and changes will be made.
Give the lads a bit of time, organising a defence is reasonably straightforward, getting a side to play well enough to set up good chances is not so easy. I believe the players we have will surprise us all and score goals galore, but maybe not straight away. Best of luck on Saturday.

WHS, A bit optimistic imo, as long as we can score enough to win games i will be happy to be honest.
Nah, let’s look forward to half a dozen goals every week and all scored by Witton!! God, optimism feels a hell of a lot better than the pessimism of last sseason!!
WHS.
It does just feel right doesnt it - hope it is the start of a new era
We are all Wittoners, we always live in hope!!

Get your friends down for this one lets give them a good start and lets keep building together, be very interesting to see the team selection hope we have not got any injury worries ?
I wouldn’t expect many goals in this game but hope I’m wrong. I suspect Oggy will not want to lose. Expect him to start with Kinsey up front on his own with the hope of sneaking a goal from midfield. I personally prefer to see more attacking football as oppose to worrying about the opposition - I think this backfired on us against Eastwood. I would like to see Smith start as I think he is natural centre forward and will score 20 plus this season if he is given regular starts. I may be way of the mark but watch this space. We need a good result to kickstart the season - here’s hoping we take all three points.
In terms of goals scored by Witton and the attendance let’s hope it’s a case of
Gar forth and multiply.
Heard rumours that we have signed a full back?
There is now a match preview of the game on the Home Page of the Official website at www.wittonalbion.com
I will be there today. watched the game last week just to have a look a the new boys, and went to the players forum after the match. As has been said before, there seems to be a great feeling about the place and hopefully we are are in for a good season. Good luck Witton.
